Ignorance is bliss for all liberal idiots. They probably believe in unicorns and the tooth fairy. And when you laugh at their faces, they get all angry about it and want to know why the crap coming out their mouth is so amusing for any thinking person.

Mika argued that employers making big profits should pay their workers more Can you imagine her reaction to being told: "Highly paid Americans like you should pay more to buy American products and help support American jobs" ?

Mika:
1. Get a bucket
2. Stand in it
3. Grab the handle and try to pull yourself up.
4. Don’t breathe until you’re at least 1 foot in the air.
The laws of economics are much more simple than those of physics, but apparently even libs cannot comprehend them.

If Mika’a phone bill is $100, does she send $300? Does she double the allowance for her children just for the hell of it? Does she choose to pay full price when something’s on sale? After all, she can afford it.
What nonsense. There is such a thing as profit margin, and salaries and benefits are not just nice things that companies do for people. Companies need to get certain things done, and there is a benefit to getting the most things done at the lowest cost, i.e. getting the most benefit out of a dollar spent.
To this end, some workers should be paid more because they are more productive, others paid less. They should not be given raies “just because.”

You mist understand that the entire lib mindset on the economy, which derives from Lord Keynes and before him mercantilism, is that there’s a big pile of money out there going to waste. All they have to do is take it away from rich people, stick it anywhere else (even with other rich people), and whammo. Problem solved.

It’s kind of simple, KneePad: Money that does not show up on a company’s balance sheet does not exist, and therefore cannot be redistributed.

I post this item not to mock Mika Brzezinski. Well, shoot, now I'm torn as to whether or not I want to read it. I don't know any other reason to read a post about her.

RE “
All this was apparently lost on Mika. In the following segment, insisting “it's kind of simple,” Mika argued that employers making big profits should pay their workers more. “Why not? I don't get it,” miffed Mika about “greedy” bosses. “ She is right.
That is exactly how the Fed government works and they are a model of efficency, as long as they can print money and borrow (of it) about a third of what they spend. Why cant employers be more like that?

Gee Mika it is really quite simple. To pay a worker say $10 an hour that worker has to on average produce revenue from their work of not only the $10 needed to pay them, but pay their Social Security, Medicare, health insurance, pension contribution, the cost of any paid time off like vacations and leave a few cents for the owner's profit. All together to pay that $10 per hour wage the average revenue from one hour of their work would need to be probably close to $25. So Mika to pay workers more they would have to produce more goods or services sold in the market so as to have the extra revenue to pay the higher wage. Mika also needs to realize that when government mandates like Obamacare raise the cost of hiring workers employers either need to have workers produce more with no wage increase or reduce the number of workers.
Liberals just seem to think businesses are awash with money and could pay workers higher wages without producing anything.
To: governsleastgovernsbest
In the communist world view, industry exploits workers and earns unfair profits from their work. The only fair industry is one run by the government.
In normal peoples’ view, you have a smart, hard-working risk taker who starts a business with his own money, and HAS THE RIGHT to the profit from his business.

The responses I have seen on this thread are what I expect from die-hard Freepers. May I present another possibility? Instead of coercion (particularly at the point of a gun) the libtards offer instead a carrot, an incentive to "do the right thing" that is so obvious to them: encourage profit-sharing with employees. There is an obvious answer, obvious to everyone except the liberals who think they can just snap their fingers and make it so. The solution lies in the oft-quoted-here statement: "Discourage what you don't like by taxing it, encourage what you want by subsidizing it."
The rest of this thesis is left as an exercise to the reader.
