IDF Special Forces are operating inside Syria to track chemical weapons, the London Sunday Times reported. The Israeli government has not commented on the report.
The report from London comes hours after Syrian opposition forces released a video showing that Syrian President Bashar Assad has used chemical weapons in the commercial center of Aleppo.
The newspaper stated that the IDF operations across the border are part of new secret operations to locate non-conventional weapons and to sabotage them to prevent their use.

Why would Israel enter into a fray on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood? Both sides in the Syrian conflict are evil, what on earth would possess the US to be involved? Even if chemical weapons are used, why is it always our people who are sent to fight? Isn’t this a UN issue? Let them round up some other country’s soldiers to deal with this one.
Finally, is this really Israel’s last ditch effort to draw us into a war with Iran, because Iran would side with Assad?
Holy mackerel, folks! Radical Muslims killing radical Muslims on their own turf. What is the problem here?

Good news like when Iraq and Iran were killing each other.

“—regrouping his army is defense array-—” Assuming that’s reasonably accurate, and it seems to be from both mideast and Euro news reporting, then Asshat isn’t going anyplace. If all you have the horsepower to do is “go defensive “ then you are next-to-done. Ask Hitler, ask Tojo, ask Sadam, how those fixed defenses worked out. Making yourself a fixed target just makes the math easy for the range finders coming your way. These mideast bungwads are really big on stock piling weapons, and the Russians are happy to sell them the stuff, but they never really have any transport to do anything important with them. Yeah, Asshat might light a couple fuses and do some random damage but he’s done for.

While we did have a recent joint military exercise with Israel, do you really think this campaigner-in-chief will fight against Russia?
If so, I can imagine the Rules Of Engagement that will be enforced.

While I understand, and agree with some of your sentiments, it would be societal suicide to sit back and watch this mess devolve. It will not end quickly, nor very clean, but what is sure is that numerous enemies of the US would end up with large stockpiles of chemical weapons, including VX. Iran could then launch false flag operations, using chemical/biological/dirty nuke (Yes, Syria has yellowcake and other nasty nuclear materials) attacks against the mainland US, and be able to plausibly deny that they had anything to do with it. We may not find all the WMD's, but we might make it difficult to smuggle large quantities out of the country. Either way, we have a losing hand, with our soldiers taking the brunt of the casualties, but do you still advocate doing nothing? Inaction in the face of almost certain mass casualty events on our homeland demand that we do any, and everything possible to eliminate the threat. I would even go so far as using tactical nukes to make sure you get the WMD's, or at least poison the area around where they are stored, as to make them inaccessible. You could issue a humanitarian warning 8 hours in advance, and tell them if they try to move military equipment or any types of trucks, the attack would be triggered instantaneously.

If Assad wanted to be the hero of the muslim brotherhood, the imams, and all of islam,...he mixes his saran...announces at the same time he is the viccar of allah and launches his payload toward Israel. All of islam would rally around Assad. This is what scares me.

So if gas is released then who did it? I’m certainly not going to believe what our biased media says.
My view on the Middle East is simply that there is not ONE country in that whole area worth one dead GI, or one dime of US money spent. Let them all take each other out, but keep us out of it.

My only thought is America should stand with Israel. With our current cic (yuck) taking the opposite view and supporting people heck-bent on killing Americans and Israelis am thinking the road ahead is going to be one I thought would not be traveled in my lifetime. Maybe still am wrong but things do point in an ugly direction from what can surmise. Our cic created a mess in this region, and the majority said, by voting, it was fine by them. Logic redefined?

It’s time for the USA taxpayers to end our stuckee role of sugar daddy for the world, and for global banks and corporations that offer neither loyalty nor patriotism and for a large segment of our population that have figured out how to beat the system.
I support defending only countries that have actually expended blood and treasure in the defense of the USA, or those that reimburse us totally for their defense. No more sugar daddy.
