Bozell: 'Time for Conservatives to Start Looking for a New Home'

(CNSNews.com) - Conservative leaders don't like what they're hearing from House Speaker John Boehner, the man in the middle of fiscal cliff negotiations.

One day after Boehner mentioned an $800-billion tax hike -- half the amount President Obama is seeking -- conservative activist L. Brent Bozell III said the Republican Party is no longer the party of limited government, limited spending and limited taxes:

"It is now officially exactly right behind the Democrats -- on everything," Bozell said. "It is time for conservatives to start looking for a new home. There's precious little left for us here."

Bozell said it's no coincidence that just before releasing his proposal, Boehner orchestrated a purge of conservatives from key positions of power in the Republican Conference.

How about the Conservatives in the House mobilize to vote out Boehner from his leadership position?

Indeed.

The GOP does not represent me or America in any way, shape or form.

20% of the people are liberal and 40% are conservative. A new political party the Tea Party will fix them just fine.

The vote for new leadership can’t happen until the next congress is convened.

If the two party dance is over, the next best thing is a one party dance. Don’t confuse people with party choices.

47% (or more) of the nation's population are dependent on the labor of others for their next meal. That figure trumps any other figure you can cite.Remember..."when robbing Peter to pay Paul, one can *always* count on Paul's cooperation".

Oh yes, I know, but the gutless GOP isn’t going to grow any guts.

Boner is actually the perfect speaker for the GOP IMO.

Has anyone told Boner that 800 billion was exactly what Obama asked for during the election? Geithner doubled everything ( top 2%, 160 billion tax hike, etc) on Sunday. Does Boner have ANY negotiation skills???

I think Bonehead just sent a message to conservatives. Get in line with
the ways of DC or get removed from committees.

I agree that he needs to go. Looks like only a scandal will take him out.
Maybe Hillary will loan us Boneheads FBI file.

My Dad would have responded with: If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you wind up with a sore Peter. Everyone knows you can’t do anything with a sore Peter.

When the dems got too left, what did Reagan do? He left and pointed out that his former party had left HIM.

And that’s exactly what the Repubicans have done with ME.

SCREW THE REPUBLICAN PARTY —NOT my party, no way. NO MORE>

As Ross Perot showed, with essentially unlimited money and a ton of MSM publicity, a third party can pull in a solid 19% and lock in Dems solidly.

How about the Conservatives in the House mobilize to vote out Boehner from his leadership position?

Because the no-spined moderate Republicans in the House would vote for Pelosi in a second rather than risk a conservative being elected Speaker.
