Despite ‘war on Catholics,’ faculty & staff at Catholic universities gave overwhelmingly to Obama
Campus Reform ^

Ninety-one percent of faculty and administrators from America’s top Catholic universities who contributed to presidential campaigns in 2012 gave to President Obama, a Campus Reform investigation has revealed.

The strong support for President Obama from Catholic schools came despite Democrats’ controversial health care legislation which could force employers to provide contraception for employees even though it is explicitly forbidden under Catholic doctrine.

You beat me to it. The University is the “church” where the Dem gospel and scripture is heard daily.

Maybe...but, why not just ignore the parts you don't like and go with the parts you do like? That seems to be the modern approach to most flavors of Christianity, especially with the televangelists.

As near as I can tell from people watching, everyone believes in God and still gets to do whatever they want to, mistakes and all, and still goes to heaven.

Keeps the pews full. Win.

Are there any Catholic universities left in the United States?

Uh, no. They are non-believers. Many of them are not even baptized Catholics but Protestants, Jews, etc. Also, you might want to check into what the Catholic bishops actually thought about Obamacare.

“The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops opposed the passage of Obamacare, fearing that it would allow the federal government to dictate to...” http://www.flatheadnewsgroup.com/hungryhorsenews/article_023cdd08-cb69-11e1-ba25-001a4bcf887a.html

“While the US Conference of Catholic Bishops have pushed for universal health coverage in the US for almost a century, the USCCB ended up opposing ObamaCare.” http://hotair.com/archives/2012/06/18/catholic-group-that-supported-obamacare-rejects-hhs-mandate-as-unworkable/

Ave Maria to name one, and there are pockets of excellence at many of the d line Catholic colleges. For now though, my kids will go to good non-catholic colleges with strong Newman Centers.

Isn’t it assuming too much that all of these people are Catholic? Not that there aren’t plenty of Catholics and other religiously affiliated people who ignore the spiritual warfare being conducted by both political parties.

The picture made me laugh.
My dad taught us a song when we were young:

"With my hand on myself,
What is this here?"

"This is my sweat boxer -
Yom Yom - a dear..."

Yes, and the Cardinal Newman Society identifies those who abide by Catholic beliefs. The rest are just CINO institutions

That’s because, like most ‘jews’, they simply play at being catholic or Christian. I am tired of people not believing in God, but saying that they do. I honestly can’t wait for judgement, just to hear what they will say before the Man.

Stockpirate, if you don’t know anything except your own prejudices and presumptions, shut up. The Catholic bishops warned severely against Obamacare when Obama was running in 2008, and blisteringly opposed Obamacare throughout the legislative fight for it.

It is a dilemma. Seems like rationalization overcomes morals and ethics. You have to wonder if there are any more “Saint/Sir Thomas Mores?” You know, people who hold to moral and ethical principles. We have none of that in the leadership of this country, including the Judicial, Executive and Legislative branches of government. My heart goes out to those who live by their beliefs and faith.

God has blinded half the American public. There is no other explanation that explains why people voted for Obama and didn’t really even know why they were doing so. It’s impossible to think they don’t know by now he’s a fraud and an enemy of the American people’s health and pocketbook.

Ouch.

53% of Catholic voters for Obama are hawking the name, calling themselves Catholic, highjacking Catholic themes on social justice and poverty, parading around as wolves among the sheep, disguised as sheep, thick in congress and the senate.

Catholics know they are infiltrated, because Christ’s Church has always been the big enchilada for the enemy, since the Beginning, of the air and roaming around on earth. Where Jesus is really present will always be the target. We know that. :)

I wanna be on the ground the Enemy wants. Bad. That’s one reason I know I’m in the right place.

Wish I shared your optimism. In boxing, they say the first dive’s the hardest, and “Justice” Roberts has already thrown his first fight. Think our new Catholic Hispanic justice will take his place on the side of religion and the Constitution? I don’t. But I guess we can hope.
