GOP Senators More Troubled About Benghazi After Talking With Amb. Rice
WBUR-FM ^ | November 27, 2012 | Mark Memmott

After meeting with U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice this morning, three key Republican senators emerged to say they're more troubled — not less — by what they say were intelligence failures and misleading information concerning the September attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, which left four Americans dead.

One, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, said it's too soon to even be speculating about promoting Rice to be secretary of state.

Congress needs to see "FBI interviews of survivors ... and what was said the night of the attack" about who might be responsible, Graham said, before considering the promotion of anyone who was involved in handling the intelligence before or after the Benghazi attack.

Graham was joined by senators John McCain of Arizona and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire. She said she's "more troubled, not less," after talking with Rice and top U.S. intelligence officials about the attacks.

Though President Obama has not yet nominated anyone to succeed Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton (who plans to soon leave), McCain, Graham and some other Republicans have already been saying they have doubts about whether Rice should get that job. They say she misled the nation by saying that the attacks may have begun as protests over a anti-Muslim video produced in California...

She lied. They know she lied. She doesn’t even have the ability to come up with a plausible excuse/reason.

But they can't oppose her... to do so would be WAYYYYSISSSSS.

1 - Who invented the lie about protests of the video?
2 - Who (by name) received notice of the calls for help?
3 - The “video motive” was NEVER “the best intel we had at the time”, as NO intel, EVER pointed that direction. So, who told you to run with that story, with regard to the attacks on Benghazi?

The “real” president...Valerie Jarrett. With Axelrod nodding like a marine mammal in the backgound.

As long as GOP senators remain “troubled” about the Benghazi affair, the nation will have nothing to worry about.

The Obama administration must be shaking in their boots.

Hey, how about Bill Clinton for Secretary of State?

Let’s move next to the State Department, where an exhausted Hillary Clinton is ready to step down. She has been, without question, Obama’s finest appointment. She was also his riskiest. The current favorite for the job, Susan Rice, the United Nations ambassador, is a safe choice, but she doesn’t have the breadth that the job requires. Who does? How about Bill Clinton? Seriously…

Department of Defense? David Petraeus. After disclosing an affair with Paula Broadwell and resigning as C.I.A. chief, Petraeus is currently doing his stint in purgatory. The Defense Department in Obama’s second term is going to need someone who can cut its budget without hurting its mission — and who can reform the most entrenched bureaucracy in Washington. The military brass will run bureaucratic circles around any defense secretary who doesn’t know their tricks. Petraeus can stand up to them.

They are so unprincipled that they don’t even realize they are not racist nor sexist. No matter, they’d cave anyway, same as they did for Bubba.

They’re worse than the Democrat senators who at least have the excuse of being in a party taken over by pro abortion communists.

That is my point and I intend to harp on that single question until we get the provable answer.... or the Sun burns out and Hell freezes over.

F&F has apparently been burred and those corrupt bastards in D.C. have every intent to bury the truth about Benghazi.

Is it any possibility that what the White House is trying to hide with Benghazi attack is that a detainee (apparently there were a couple in the consulate) knew of an al-Qaeda connection with someone close to the White House or the detainee(s) knew something that the White House didn't want anyone to know... What could it be the White House is hiding? Any speculation out there?

If the Republicans can gain access to the affidavits of survivors, the regime is screwed. But they’ll never see them, just as they’re STILL waiting for F&F docs from the man held in Contempt of Congress who STILL has his job; Eric WithHolder.

“1 - Who invented the lie about protests of the video?”

Exactly!! The whole meme about “oh, they’re protesting the video” is so far out in Whackville that you can’t even see it from here. NO protesters were running around yelling about the video. So where on earth did that idea even come from? It must have come from our side. FIND the originator of that bogus idea, that the Benghazi attackers were protesting that stupid vid, and you’ll unravel a whole lot of this story right there.

Certainly it was Obama. But before you take him on you must have removed every oher possibility so he will have no one to hide behind. They must methodically turn over every rock and expose it to sunlight first - then go for the big O!

I’m thinking there must have been some confusion between Cairo and Benghazi. As far as I know, the idea that there were protests against the video ginned up by Egyptian media and clerics hasn’t been refuted.

The first link is from the day of 9/11, before anything in Benghazi had even gotten started from what I can tell.

I don’t know, but there was definitely something they are willing to throw everybody under the bus to keep from the public. And since the public really doesn’t care about anything that Bambi does, and has now already forgotten about Benghazi, it must be pretty extreme for them to be worried about it.

I’m not sure just the fact that there were detainees there (even though Obama swore the US wasn’t doing that anymore now that the eeevil Bush was gone) would be enough to provoke such a reaction from the WH. They were obviously afraid, even going into the election, that more was going to come out about this and I think they seriously expected not to win if the truth came out. So it’s got to be something really bad, but I honestly can’t imagine what (unless it’s that Bin Laden is alive and well after all or some such thing).

The GOP should drop the elephant and use a picture of a “cave” as its emblem. Maybe Carlsbad or Cave of the Winds in CO Springs.

Yea, the American people are so shallow that they could not understand what really happened in Libya even if shown the evidence.

Where are the 30 plus survivors?

Good question. Why don't we know who they are? Why aren't the media searching out these people for their stories???

They have been forgotten. It's as if there were only 4 people there that night according to everyone looking and talking about this Benghazzi attack. What's going on here???
