Ronald S. Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, has expressed shock and dismay at the latest display of anti-Semitism among supporters of the Italian club S.S. Lazio, which occurred during a Europa League match between Lazio and the English club Tottenham Hotspur in Rome on Thursday evening.
The match was marred by anti-Semitic chanting, with Lazio fans shouting Juden Tottenham, Juden Tottenham and unrolling a huge banner reading Free Palestine.

Not surprised. In several visits to Sicily, I saw “Juden Raus,” graffitted on to several buildings. A disgusting sight, I must admit.
I didn’t know the Brits were holding any muzzie fags hostage. This is flat weird.
The take away: Europe is dying and they play soccer, too.
So where are those famous British soccer hooligans when you really need them? Didn’t a bunch of them massacre a bunch of Italian fans some years ago?
My family hails from Sicily and Freepers should remember Lazio is the most F’d up, racist soccer team in the Serie A. You wear a Roma shirt when they are playing, and you’ll end up a corpse eventually.
The last time Europe died was during the last days of the ancient Roman Empire. Yesterday it was bread and circuses and today it is soccer and anti-Semitism.
Maybe it’s just been a long day, but... Am I understanding this story correctly?
Fans from London were in Rome cheering a Rome soccer club (playing against an English soccer club), and these Rome fans from London rolled out the anti-Semitic banner...?
I take it back, white males are not the only global public enemy number one.
Right now it’s neck and neck with the Jews. At least we’re in good company.
Uh, no.
Jordan is Palestine. Lets move the Arabs there and FREE ISRAEL!
For those who don’t know the area of London represented by Tottenham Hotspurs F.C. has for many years been inhabited or associated with Jews. The soccer club itself has many Jewish financial supporters.
One of the many reasons I have always been a proud Tottenham supporter.
Come on you Spurs!
Mel
I don’t know where this “Jordan is Palestine” thing came from, but no, they aren’t Arabs in Jordan although they’ve had the Arabic language imposed on them centuries ago. Certainly the “Palestinians” would try to lay claim to them if they got their “one-state solution”, but that land was never theirs.
Nope.
English fans whose team has a partly Jewish identity (they play in a Jewish area of London) were subject to antisemitism from Italian fans (whose team has historical links to fascism).
Thanks. That makes much more sense.
Ajax Amsterdam is the other famous European club that has strong Jewish support.

So who are the Jordanians and Palestinians, then?
