In post-election analyses, the 11-point drop in the president's support among 18- to 29-year-olds indicates that particular voting bloc is falling away from Barack Obama on major issues.
-------
One polling trend that isn't going in Barack Obama's favor after the presidential election is the drop in his support among young voters. Even though it might not be as unbelievable as winning 100 percent of the vote in 59 Philadelphia precincts ─ and nine Cleveland precincts ─ an 11-point swing in support away from Obama is lifting some eyebrows on both sides of the political spectrum ... particularly because that swing comes from the president's strongest segment of voters.
This 11-percent drop in support among the 18- to 29-year-old age group is the largest drop in that demographic in U.S. history for an incumbent president who won re-election.
It begs the question: To what can this largest demographic swing be attributed?

Isn't it about time to conduct a broad and deep criminal investigation of these 100% PA and OH districts by finding people therein who will swear they did not vote for Obama, and then finding out what and who are the organization(s) which caused this poll-rigging to happen?By carefully investigating the clerks and inspectors as to their character and behavior? Come on! Some of those youths must have voted in some of those districts.
There must have at least ONE mistake of a voter in hitting the wrong button irretrievably! This is a conspiracy and it is big.
They just haven’t yet been totally forgiven their student loans and fully integrated into the EBT, TANF, Section 8, SNAP, and EITC society yet....4 more years ought to do it.
I’m sure their inability to get unemployment had nothing to do with it.
Or employment.
Young people are the ones who can see what’s going on. They’re not afraid of the truth plus they loathe hypocrisy. They freak when they find out about abortion and they flock, unreportedly, to anti abortion rallies and to things like the Popes semiannual youth visit- these are kids resourceful enough to raise thousands of $s for the trip (NOT government funds, you can be sure).
they are hammered in college with lib think but the smart ones are finding alternatives, not dreaming of incurring a no job - hundred or so $K debt just to get hammered with such.
The young, skull full of mush, “lady parts” voters with their breast implants and popeye tattoos made up the difference with their demands for free condoms and birth control pills. The “Little Princess” vote.
It was our election to lose, and we did.
Voter drop that was made up by increased turnout among single white women, Blacks, sodomites, Hispanic, and Asians, and the food stamp crowd.
With the drop in support in Obama’s identity groups, the question now is why the Republicans couldn’t/didn’t take advantage.
A decent turnout of Republicans back to the totals of McCain wouldn’t been a sweeping victory. A change of a few hundred thousand votes in swing states would have made for a victory.
There is no good reason I can see why so many Republican voters allowed the country to be taken over by the Obama socialist racist coalition.
The "inside the beltway" GOP lost the election. They've reverted to what they were between Hoover and Reagan, perfectly content to lose and watch the Democrats implement the Big Government they desire.
Young people, like everyone, can be easily fooled once.
Twice? Not so many of them are that stupid.
Let’s give them credit for seeing through the bSh!t
and try to get them to turn out and vote for the better candidate(s) next time!
There are signs of intelligence in the next generation!
Let’s do our best to reach out and embrace ...
I read that after all absentee ballots and provisional ballots were counted Romney actually got more votes than McCain.
Y’all are missing the point! This is not about the young vote! It’s about NO VOTES for somebody else in all these districts. What this post is about is the broad criminal conduct of the polls, IMHO!
Baloney. Support for contraception is extremely strong from the ‘tune in, turn on, drop out’ generation.
There are 90 million Americans who are eligible to vote; yet chose not to do so. I wonder who they are..?
Good grief. Who the heck would care, except for Dems who wish Repubs replay the last election?
Pick a conservative and it won’t matter. We will win. Pick a liberal like Romney and people don’t have a choice on who to vote since both were liberal. The youth had nobody to vote for and that is why they didn’t support either one.
If his biggest supporters abandoned him, then how did he win? Fraud!
The biggest load of crap is to vote others. The one and only person to lose the election is ROMNEY! He was the liberal who sucked! Get off blaming others as you sound like Obama. Romney lost because he has zero core. He flip flopped on many issues and was liberal on the rest. ROMNEY LOST THIS EASY ELECTION!!!!!
