Humorous article. I once saw a 'benign' water lizard in Malaysia rip apart a small dog. They are not as large as a komodo, but just as rovian.

There’s a lizard (a type of gekko I think) in the Phillipines, whose call at night speaks for my attitude toward my present government. Old WESTPAC sailors know what I’m talking about.

BANGKOK, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Thai officials reassured the U.S. Secret Service that lizards found on the Government House grounds were not the dangerous komodo dragons, but water lounge lizards.
