Why don't America's media members want to acknowledge Jerusalem as being the capital of Israel?
On CNN Newsroom Friday, Ashleigh Banfield actually said, "Rockets fired at Jerusalem. It is not the capital at this point, but it is the disputed center of the universe so to speak when it comes to Israel" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

As Politico reported, the Associated Press also seemed Jerusalem-challenged.

I have no idea who Ashleigh is but nobody that incredibly ignorant belongs in a “news” organization (which is supposed to inform us about things)
If I recall correctly, just a couple of months ago, the press could not get Obama’s press secretary to confirm that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel.
Because then she would have to admit that the Jewish people have a right to their homeland.
