I wonder what the compensation was for the execs.
I seem to recall that in the last 15 years lots of corporations were driven into the ground by execs who then bailed out with their own private golden parachutes.
If that’s the case here then I find it hard to care if they went under.
I don’t know any details so this may not be like that, but if it were the execs padding their own pockets while asking the workers to take a paycut then I think the stikers were justified.

Personally, I blame all this on Michele Obama and her stupid program to reduce obesity. She scared everyone off Twinkies.

WI is kickin’ @ss these days! Republicans OWN our Governorship, House and Assembly, even though we helped 0bama win and foisted Tammy Baldwin (Lesbian Foremost, D, WI) on the rest of America to the Senate. BUT - she’ll be a little tiny fish in a HUGE pond filled with men who hate women anyway, so I’m not that worried that her name will be on any legislation within the next decade.
And as an ADDED BONUS, this week Governor Walker joined the swelling ranks of ‘united’ Governors who are saying “NO” to the healthcare exchanges. The Feds need to foot the bill...and the Feds ain’t got no monies to do so. Bwaa-Haa-Haa!

There’s a reason Barry met with the Union Thugs and these people aren’t worried and don’t care about the non-union/fellow Hostess workers are out of a job. Something was promised to them. (at taxpayers expense) Perhaps an Executive Order paying the Union Workers who lost their jobs striking, more than unemployment?
Translation:
“I gets to sit HOME fuh two years for FREE on da Unemployment.”
This is just partial retirement for the Union Workers. Now they get Unemployment, plus food stamps, plus who knows what else, to sit home and watch TV all day for 99 weeks. You betcha they are happy.
Not for me, but if you are a lazy slacker, there are much worse things than being paid a small stipend not to work for 2 years.
They don’t want to work. Barackoclaus will give then dough to sit home on their lazy asses.
When the dough runs out? They will hit the streets and complain.

I’d be willing to bet that not a single one of these “workers” will ever get a job again that pays as much as the deal they turned down.

I don’t believe that they will get unemployment. The union members - that is. The other workers will.

Yeah we have a pretty solid hold on the legislature in Michigan despite our puddinhearted governor. I’d love to see our attorney general run for the top spot.
Just last week the legislature stripped the DEQ of the power to designate areas as special or otherwise off limits without legislative approval. Just a few months back they eliminated the state permit requirements to retrofit some small dams for hydroelectric.
From the Video, I would say they were not all that productive either. You are at the mercy of your workers. Great workers will get you higher profits. These look like type of workers that would do the least they had to not to get fired, and that’s about it.
Whoever buys the Hostess name and starts up again needs to do so without Union labor. An investor would be insane to buy them if the Union slackers come for the ride. Just insane.
You can see they are really looking forward to their 99 weeks of vacation.
Why would I want to hire someone who comes with built in hostility toward me and the company, who is going to bring in a third party parasite to suck the life blood out of the company through extortion to make me pay people I now can't fire more than they are worth?
Screw that and screw you. I'm going to go set up shop in a country that wants me to be there and then hire people who want to work for me.
That's not a choice I would have come to, I want to do that in my hometown. But, it is one you union workers force on those who might make the mistake of hiring you.
