If we put out hearts and souls into this, we can do it...and we must do it if we are to avoid the brick wall and conflagaration that is looming. It may be unavoidable at this point, but for the sake of my kids and grandkids, I have to try.
America at the Crossroads of History

You may have to involve what is called a bit of “tough love” on these folks.
Please read...and if you are so inclined, pass it around, particularly to every Latino and Black American you know who might read it.
Many may not buy it now, but if they have the truth buried in their mind, the time will come when it rises to the top and their hearts may change.
I think it’s all about free stuff.
Romney promised jobs.
Obama promised free stuff.
Perhaps this is a stupid idea and probably an impossible one but purchase a major network and put a truly conservative news agency in place and also truly conservative entertainment shows etc etc.
Good article, Jeff!
I have a young hispanic acqaintance who I tried to explain the damage that obamacare would create, I gave her examples, facts, reports that doctors would leave the field, etc. Her mind was totally closed, her only response was “I don’t believe all that fear mongering”.
>The over-riding segments of the population that enabled his victory were the Black vote (who voted for him by over 90%) and the Latino vote (who voted for him by over 70%).
And they did so, absolutely against their own best interest.<
.
You will NEVER convince them of that. Don’t you know that the Sun sets in the East?
I am sick and tired of hearing the myrmidons in the media tell white republicans that they need to reach out to black and hispanic voters more and tailor the messaging. First let me say this. If you dont understand the meaning of limited government, individual liberty and the ability to own private property as well as unalienable rights. You are lost PERIOD. Blacks that vote for their slavers of the Democratic party suffer from the greatest case of Stockholm Syndrome in the history of Stockholm Syndrome. Here we have a group of Americans that have suffered through slavery, Jim Crow, Dred Scott, KKK, Civil War and Civil Rights turn right around and vote for the people that brought that upon the heads of blacks. That is more effective brainwashing in the history of recorded man. The is insidious and pathetic men like Frederick Douglass and Booker T Washington saw this coming and so should we. Obama and Romney are our fault they are two sides of the same coin and that is why 3 million republican voters stayed at home. He was worse than McCain and didnt suffer Obama to the attacks that he launch during the primaries. That is telling about Mr. Romney as well as the lack of response from him when they attacked his wifes treatments for her MS. Someone attacks my wife I get ballistic, I dont know about you. Even Sarah Palin went off when her kids were attacked as well as Michele Bachman. Ladies and Gentlemen we must not give up hang in there and keep fighting
It’s a good goal, and I spent many, many hours talking to all sorts of blacks and some Latinos before the election about why they shouldn’t vote for Obama. My argument was pretty simple: results. The actual consequences of Obama’s policies have been that blacks and Latinos have suffered greatly from unemployment, poverty, etc., and no government benefit can begin to make up for that.
Unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears, for the most part. The sad fact is that black Americans have never really participated in the free enterprise system. We went from being slaves, to sharecroppers, to welfare dependents and government workers. Yes, there are many exceptions, but for the large part of the population, that’s who we are — descendants of slaves and serfs, now welfare recipients and public employees.
On top of that, you have an educational system, media, churches, etc., all saying that the GOP is racist and trying to “put y’all back in chains”. Add it all up (with a bit of fraud in the mix for good measure), and you get 20,000 votes in Philly for Obama, not a single one for Romney.
The only hope is that enough non-blacks figure it out before it’s too late, and vote in a real free market, conservative government, and the resulting improvements are so compelling so as to be undeniable, such as occurred during the Reagan Era. It’s hard for me to imagine that happening at this point, however, given the demographic shifts. White people will have to vote 75% Republican before the GOP would have a chance on the national level, and unfortunately, 30+% of white people are brain dead liberals.
That would be your Mormon god that youre cursing, Im sure...
The will not wake up until Other People’s Money runs out and the resulting unpleasantness gets them nothing more than a shrug and a show of empty pockets by Big Daddy Government.
With a clear choice between Freedom or Free Stuff they chose Free Stuff.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."
They will continue to vote democrat as long as they lack the protestant work ethic that built this country.
Blacks are acting as though they can’t take care of themselves. They are letting the government replace the plantation.
Unfortunately, liberalism is opiate for the vast majority of ethnic minorities. You will always have a small amount of Latino and Black Conservatives, but you will never convert the minority masses to Conservatism. They will always see the GOP as the party for wealthy White guys.
Well, Jeff. How do you propose to do what you want to do when you, even in these phrases, have set yourself upon a throne of superiority? When a socialist liberal talks to me in the tone and with the attitude that you have, that who I am and what I believe make me less than they are, I call that a patronizing tone, and I am immediately closed to anything else that they have to say. Before you fix them, you probably have to fix yourself. That patronizing tone is probably why many Hawaiians rejected the message the missionaries wanted to give them. Can you blame them?
Nice try, but both voter blocks are sound asleep IN the wagon.
Your chances of awakening them are, at best, only 47 %.
The 53 % who are pulling the wagon hear you loud and clear.
