House Republicans have to stop the president from hurting the economy
Now that he never has to run for election again, President Obama can show his true colors. Mr. Obama made it clear Wednesday he wants to whack Americans with $1.6 trillion in tax increases so that an obese Uncle Sam wont have to go on a diet. The only thing that can slow down his sharp turn to the left is the House GOP.
When it comes to the top 2 percent, what Im not going to do is to extend further a tax cut for folks who dont need it, which would cost close to a trillion dollars, Mr. Obama said Wednesday in his first formal domestic news conference since June. He insisted his re-election was a mandate for raising taxes on small businesses and investors, which he called his guiding principle during these negotiations but, more importantly, during the next four years of my administration. The president also declared that a modest tax increase would not impinge on business investment.
Rep. Dave Camp, chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, says thats not true. Every report weve seen from employers to the Congressional Budget Office points to job loss if the presidents proposed tax hike is allowed to take effect, the Michigan Republican told The Washington Times Wednesday. In this economy, where people are struggling to find work, how can Washington be in the business of destroying any job?

Why?
The people want it. The republicans in power will only slow the bus down. No matter how you cut it, this bus is going over the cliff. Give Zero what he wants. EVERYTHING he wants. Then he OWNS the mess at the bottom of the cliff.
Get in the way, even a little tiny bit and he will blame YOU for not doing it his way and that is why it failed.
Sorry, I’m not like the guy in FL that committed suicide and just under half the people who voted don’t want it.
Nah - it will always be Bush's fault and the MSM will never confront him on that.
Tax bills must originate and be approved by the House. Nobama can propose, but he can’t enact. I would rather everyone take the hit with the across the board expiration of the current Tax Rates, then have the Republican controlled house give Obama any “fairness” (read class warfare)inspired increases.
Starve the beast.
For every dollar in tax hike, pay the tax but also cut personal spending by twice that amount. Set aside the money as cash currency or metals. Close down the economy. Prove to them (his base) who built what.
Thats good.
Go galt.
eff um. the takers have overtaken the producers.
Well said and agreed plus he won’t get his $1.6 Trillion that way.
Sorry, but the words “hunker down” and “fight” are not words that the current RINOs in Sodom on the Potomac know.
I’m truly surprised that Zer0 only got 51% of the vote.
He should’a gotten all the 47% who pay no taxes, and the next 50 percent that pay taxes, but are happy to stick it to the 2% to increase the other guys higher taxes.
Truly disgusting!

Let everyone suffer. Then people will know the consequences of voting D
Either way will result in the blame being put on the Repubs - if they "obstruct", any bad stuff is their fault. If they cave, any damage will be blamed on them for that. They have dug themselves such a hole by trying to be "bipartisan" that they need to take their lumps for betraying the conservative sector. In short, we're royally screwed for the foreseeable future.
House Republicans should tell everyone in all directions to be fruitful and multiply, just not in those words. They’ll be blamed by the Democrats — and by the DIABNs, RINOs, CINOs, and FINOs — for everything that results from the implementation, or rather the CONTINUED implementation of Zero’s agenda, irrespective of how they vote, what they say, or who they’re bangin’ on the side. All that’s missing from the current scenario is a bald guy in a sari pouring gasoline all over himself and lighting himself on fire in front of the Rotunda — but give it time.
