The “blue” states amount to about 5 or 6 northeastern states.

No! No! Let the Blue States “stay” in the Union. That way, they can keep their Obama, fiat money, debt, unfunded liabilities, entitlement programs, the EPA, and Roe v. Wade.

ILL-ANNOY seceded long ago and has devolved into a third-world kingdom with a few fiefdoms layered into a family-run RICO scenario with complicit bi-partisan elite power caste known as The Combine. ILL-ANNOY is so blue, it is cyanotic and gasping its last economic breath. Secession seems moot.

GOP is in panic mode as if it was worse than 2008.

Invite them to join Canada, while inviting Canada’s Alberta to join us.

How about the opposite of secession? That is, expulsion.

Kick the blue states out of the union.

I'd gladly leave if there was somewhere to go. If there was a country anywhere on earth that wasn't addicted to government and still respected faith, family and freedom I'd move there in a flash.

Because there isn't, I will stay and fight for what is left of the dear, departed USA.

Heck, a petition can be started in the Red States to vote out the Blue States. Should be no problem. I agree.

The basis of this union is the Constitution. If it is not to be followed, then the reason for union is void.

These states did not unite just to have a pretty map to look at or to wave a flag with 50 stars on it. Other nations have dissolved and have done just fine.

Not saying that now is the right moment, bit this option does not go off the table out of pride.

This election worked out great for,DC...the Inside the Beltway crowd, while preoccupied with voter disenfranchisement in the 60’s ...could no longer care about the peons and peasants in Flyover Country.

“Direct” disenfranchisement refers to actions that explicitly prevent people from voting or having their votes counted, as opposed to “indirect” techniques, which attempt to prevent people’s votes from having an impact on political outcomes (e.g., gerrymandering, ballot box stuffing, stripping elected officials of their powers).

http://www.umich.edu/~lawrace/disenfranchise1.htm

In fact the DC crowd made sure we all knew about this just prior to the election...

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/08/19/Government-Long-on-Hollow-Point-Bullets-Short-on-Answers

Which was basically their “ watcha gonna do about it “. Threat.....

DC is basically dissolving the compact between these United States. At some point each of them may chose to start negotiating with some of the others to form a more reasonable compact.

If Texas and or other states secede, Broncho will likely call for them to pay off the deficit.

I completely agree. I wish someone would make a map showing “The People’s Socialist Republic of America” and the “United States of America (occupied)”.

That is the reality.

You really want to be left holding the bag for $100 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities run up since FDR? It seems much smarter to let the Socialist states be stuck with the bills they’ve run up, while the sane states start over with sensible government.

you do realize the physical land doesn’t go anywhere... right?

those states ‘leaving’ the current administration’s interpretation of the United States will just form the actual United States

in theory....

There is no blending of global socialism and the constitutional US Republic.

One has to die for the other to flourish.

Americans are divided and elitists benefit from it.

Divide as the people are divided. It’s a divorce that has to happen.

This silliness has to stop. No one is going anywhere. Red states aren’t seceding, blue states aren’t being kicked out, and neighborhood warfare isn’t happening.

I don’t think any of the petition senders really meant this to be anything but a statement.
That’s good.
