This is the latest iteration, a new low in the money grubbing contest for America's money ,petitioned by students to Obama Free America, where the government is asked to guarantee jobs for all graduates and if those jobs are not forthcoming then the government should allow 100% refunds from Universities.

The new American Refrain:Life screwed me, the government failed me, somebody's gotta pay.

I think this would be a good disciplinary approach to the schools. It would eliminate gender studies and other useless departments because they don’t produce paying jobs.

The “woman” with the $90,000 student loan debt with the BA in Hispanic Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Studies will probably be the first in line...lesser idiots will start forming behind her.

Since most of them haven’t paid their loans, how about they trade their DEGREE for forgiveness of the loan.

Suddenly, the shortage of college degrees will give me a 30% bump in pay.

On a practical level, this seems like a barfer but, stepping back for a moment and reflecting on the horrible election results of last week, I find this kind of humorous. What if all the baby birds start coming out of the woodwork demanding their cut of the loot, now that they have reelected the great benefactor? It is sort of amusing to think of daily protests and demands for more of the nation’s loot from every imaginable quirky group.

They paid for an education not a job. Did the college guarantee them a job after graduation?

I’ve got a better idea, your diploma is witheld until you pay at least 25% of student loans and is recinded if not paid in full 10 years past that point

I think this is a brilliant idea.

If enough students with worthless degrees in worthless majors slammed the universities for refunds upon learning how harsh reality is in the real world, the useless liberal arts departments would be shut down, post haste.

It’s a brilliant idea. But because IowaHawk (nee Dave Burge) proposed this, it’s not only brilliant, it’s funny as hell.

Imagine how many law schools would be shut down when their demon spawn can’t find jobs. The legal cause is there - most schools are lying like cheap rugs when they peddle their stats on what graduates can expect in the job market with these useless degrees in useless subjects.

I’ll say it once more: It’s brilliant.

Frankly I kind of like it, the colleges and government loaners are in a racket game. Gov’t guarantees the loans; schools up the payment and train the next generation of Dem voters; gov’t loans more money; schools increase tuition; gov’t loans more money; schools increase tuition. . .

They are selling something that is usually worth little, at an extremely high price. I do believe there is a great deal of fraudulent guarantees placed on the worth of the college diploma, with some degrees/colleges being an exception.

But it’s mostly a racket. The taxpayer, of course, guaranteeing it all.

Actually my conversations with some recent gradates of our local university and others would seem to indicate that they would be justified in asking for a full refund on the basis of not having received that for which they paid.

I read that as “trade diplomats back for 100% tuition” and thought fine with me. Let’s trade the diplomats!

On a serious note, it’s the knowledge transferred that is valuable, not so much the diploma.
