Sick of this ‘fiscal cliff’ garble, Democrats are sending the private sector over a fiscal cliff no matter what.

Names for 2016 are already being thrown around. If the GOP cannot field a better list of contenders than they did for the 2012 GOP primaries, they are going to lose again in 2016.

I am 63 years old and I am CERTAIN I will not see a Republican in the WH again in my lifetime. I’m not sure anyone alive will either.

To win the WH a Republican MUST be a conservative, but to win the nomination a Republican MUST be a feckless RINO.

The really depressing thing is that it will not matter who the Demoviks nominate in 2016—that person wins by default.

Conventional democracy is really dead to us. It’s time to look for unconventional ways to bring the elitist Marxist State to its inevitable moment of collapse.

Not only that but they will successfully blame the clueless Republicans for the fall.

Been talking to my dad a lot lately about how his family survived the Great Depression. We’re making plans to weather the coming ‘collapse’ .... I believe it’s going to happen and the more self-reliant you are, the greater your chance to survive it. Big eye opener for folks just trucking along not paying attention ... Sandy. Look at those poor folks, unprepared, waiting for the government to come to the rescue. Obama was on the golf course the other day - think he cares? Heh. Anyway, we’re DOING something around here .... helps dissipate the anger & frustration from the election, too.

Start today by avoiding NBC News programs. Spend those minutes and hours elsewhere, even if it’s one of the other alphabets to get the mainstream spin. (Remember, fundamentals; one at a time)

The sentiments of hundreds of us on this thread are likely shared by a good portion of the FR nation. And certainly another 47% of the country share some or all of our sentiments. Simply ignore NBC News. They’re irrelevant.

I’ll organize a thread “FR targets NBC News” or some such. Bump it, expose it.

Not to ignore step one, however. I’m hesitant to call it a “boycott”, but a noticeable loss of numbers for NBC News will add up and be noticed. Cable and satellite companies certainly know who’s watching what, when.

It’s really the sponsors you need to target. And it can’t be a “boycott” and be risk-free where possible illegality is concerned.

But if you can encourage people to write letters and make calls to the sponsors to express concern about the “content NBC airs” etc. you can make a dent.

I worked in the lamestream media for decades and the dweebs at the top are EXTREMELY nervous when their sponsors are targeted.

Alas Babylon (the book) BUMP! Prolly my most-read book.

Went to the grocery store shortly after reading it for the first time way, way back when in the 1970s. I remember thinking, "Hmmm... maybe I should stock up." Powerful book.

I am turning all these programs off-won’t watch them anymore. I will listen to radio and get my news from online sources.
I won’t be spending any of my money in the states that voted for Obama. Any company head that came out for Obama won’t get my business. I won’t be using google etc.We will live very frugally now, and without the sound of the MSM lying to us everyday.

I certainly hope you are wrong. The dems have already started planning the next election. We won by a landslide in 2010. What changed....not Obama, not his dismal record, not the MSM. It's the GOP leadership....they were out maneuvered over and over again and many of our electorate were so disappointed they sat home. Those that sat at home because they didn't like Romney played a big role as well. Romney lost because too many of the GOP vote stayed home and mischief in the polling places. If we want to win, will have to play hardball.

I agree, mountainfolk.

The media and democrats won because they used ethnic, racial, and sexual identity politics against us.

Remember when George Stephanopolis brought up the contraceptives question in the Republican debates earlier this year? That was an Axelrod-Jarret-Carville-Stephanopolis designed offensive against us to divide and conquer.

That was the first strike.

Then the media and dems in Congress used Sandra Fluke, so-called “college student” (and to this day, that is what many news outlets still call her). Rush called he a slut—IF she really needed that much birth control. The media took that and opened with it like it was end of the world.

Then Akin and Murdock went off about rape and that added a bucket of gasoline to that burning fire.

Republican’s War on Women.

It worked.

None of it would have suceeded at all if it wasn’t for a willing, eager media ready to trumpet each and every charge and to make a mountain out of Republican gaffes while ignoring regular gaffe-A-matics like Slow Joe Biden.

Propaganda at its best.

I appreciate a lot of what you are saying but I don’t think the average Obama voter really cares that deeply about the specifics—even “war on women” stuff, or pays much attention to the lamestream media for that matter.

These people simply want their bread and circuses and trust the Demoviks to keep providing them. They don’t want to have to work for their stuff, or COMPETE for a comfortable place in society, etc.

The Russian population in the middle part of the Soviet era was dominated by people who understood they were “oppressed” but really didn’t care—as long as they didn’t have to work too hard to get out from under.

Even down to the bitter end the Gang of Eight old Bolshies knew they had at least 40 percent support and mainly from older people, when they sent tanks to take out Yeltsin and the Russian parliament.

America is well beyond the 50 percent mark at this point when it comes to the government-dependency formulation. The only way out of this is to somehow advance the collapse of the state.

Great stuff once again bray. It’s clear and Rush echoed this as well during the week that conservatism wins every time its tried. You just can’t waver at all and can’t give in at all.
We made a number of huge mistakes this election cycle there is no doubt.
I have a new found respect for Mitt Romney. Not that he was the perfect candidate but for what and who he is. A really good American who does care about the country.
He may well be the perfect VP candidate.
But truth is we will win with the likes of Marco Rubio, Sarah Palin or Paul Ryan a lot sooner than others who do not embrace conservatism and fight for its survival.
I traveled 2,000 miles last week and learned a lot about why we lost listening to talk radio.
Rush says we need to embrace conservatism and combat the lies of the left immediately standing up for our beliefs rather than let them slide as did Mitt and GW Bush.
The policy of not doing anything wrong, anything that will upset the left, rather than playing to win is far more effective, just ask Ronald Reagan.
Ann Coulter says that we need to get a larger share of the Hispanic vote but not through pandering.
If we once again embrace conservatism, strong impenetrable borders, and stop taking in 90% of the third world that can’t read or write with no question while making near impossible to take in a phd from Asia/Europe. Just that one change alone could make our immigration policy much more effective.
If we just follow laws on the books without caving for more amnesty which always looks so good but always has the same result—more dem voters who suck off the welfare system we already can’t afford.
VDH has a truly great story on why we lost and what we can do over at PJM its over here:
.............................
http://pjmedia.com/victordavishanson/anatomies-of-electoral-madness/?singlepage=true
.........................................
Its a must read for everyone.
I could go on taking into account widespread fraud in almost every state, colin powell doing radio spots the weekend before the election all over Florida, The Fat Basturd from NJ, on and on but bottom line a strong conservative candidate can overwhelm all those problems.

I am done with any news program on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC and I’ll choke a few FOX programs. I will not support any network that promotes the Obama agenda.

Well, I’m talking strictly about the WH, which wasn’t up for grabs in 2010. That election probably went the way it did because the Demovik rank and file was too lazy to go vote for their local functionary. I mean, beyond a certain self-interest, these people are among the dumbest who ever lived.

"Sick of this ‘fiscal cliff’ garble, Democrats are sending the private sector over a fiscal cliff no matter what."

The effect of Obama's tax-the-rich proposals on the deficit will be about as effective as trying to stop Hurricane Sandy with a roll of paper towels. We're going over the edge, and the the ones who will feel it the most aren't Obama's straw-man Evil Rich People, it's the I-Want-More-Free-Stuff people who elected him.

Its one thing to fight the left, their lies, their disinformation, everything else they do. Its yet another to fight the Driveby media as well.

We have to prove to the DBM that there is a price for screwing with us.

About the only thing I can think of is to hit them where it hurts in the pocket book.

If we for example just targeted one network, say the NBC nightly news, and targeted all their sponsors and made it a point to never support any of them and and another point to support their direct competition we could exact a price from the DBM.

What it would do is make delivering a biased news broadcast more expensive than it already is.

IT would make a statement that we wont be screwed over by a biased media that is all in for communists.

Yes, I don't like the sound of a boycott, but writing to sponsors feels like a boycott, doesn't it?

If nobody watches NBCNews, ratings drop, no one sees their ads, sales for those products drop, sponsors stop advertising there. They're not healthy now. More loss of ad revenue could kill 'em.

I worked in media as well and know sponsor revenue is the key. Maybe you're correct. It can't hurt if sponsors know lots of us are disappointed by NBC News and are changing our news consumption preferences and not spending any time with them.

Good catch. I jsut watched most of DNC Dave on MTP and I don't recall even hearing the word Benghazi. Its as if it doesn't exist.

We need to make them pay a price for manipulating the news, its all they understand.
