Boehner's GOP Problems Complicate Deficit Negotiations (Stop "negotiations" and let it crash)
ABC ^ | 11/10/2012 | By JOHN PARKINSON

Posted on 11/10/2012 10:48:06 AM PST by tobyhill

House Speaker John Boehner is about to begin another attempt at a grand bargain deficit reduction deal with President Obama, a high wire act in which he will be buffeted by demands from the White House as well as from House Republicans.

The difficulty of keeping in step with the hard line approach of his fellow Republicans has been on view since the presidential election.

On Thursday, Boehner told ABC News' Diane Sawyer that repealing Obamacare was no longer his party's strategy saying, "Obamacare is the law of the land" and the election settled the dispute over repeal.

Shortly after his comment was aired, Boehner put out a tweet saying, "ObamaCare is law of the land, but it is raising costs & threatening jobs. Our goal has been, and will remain, #fullrepeal."

During that interview, the Speaker also told Sawyer that comprehensive immigration reform is a top priority in his legislative agenda during the next Congress. Republicans within his conference, like Rep. John Fleming, were livid.

Your #5 makes you sound like an “Occupy” moron. Other than that, good post.

Boehner is signaling he will make a deal with Obama to import 10s of millions of leftist voters. For that he deserves to be voted out of his job. Monday I am calling my US Rep to vote against Boehner for speaker.

Sen Grahmanesty is on Huckabee explaining what immigration reform is and saying the GOP loss was due to their anti-immigration rhetoric.
You remember how many times I pointed out that Sen Grahmanesty made that comment on Sunday talk about changing the US constitution to end birthright and how completely disingenuous he was being to just kill the idea? His whole purpose was to stir opposition up to it by making believe he was for it in one comment. And it worked, Dems repeated it over and over,

Boehner is doing the dance of surrender. His goal is to make O be seen as a success in his eight years, after Bush looked like a failure after eight when the economy tanked. So any successful bipartision reforms or real fixes to the economy now will seal the GOPs fate for an other decade and amnesty will be passed anyway.

At this stage the economy MUST tank (as it did under GWB ) and it must be put on Obama.

The GOP is ushering in more 0phone voters. Boehner needs to go. It's an uphill battle, as we talked and tried to do this in 2010...to no avail.

Calling ALL R reps is a start. They need to be flooded with calls/emails. Some won't give a listen or care, but I think the Tea Party Caucus reps will be more likely to listen.

Here's a link to their contact info.

Jellyfish John should just clear up all doubt and join the Demovik Party.

He is worthless as a leader.

RE “Dump Boehner and Cantor and McCarthy and replace with actual conservatives who give a damn about all of those issues that are not related to further spoiling of the $$$$ privileged. “

How about someone competent who knows how to win. Bohner should have been dumped years ago, but now is better than never.

Why is Boehner in front of the camera saying anything now anyway? What is the purpose? He should let O have the stage now.

If he says anything it should be “I implore the president not to raise taxes. It will kill jobs and hurt Americans. Please MR President use your victory to do good for Americans not lose their jobs.”... then let all the taxes go up.

Don't say :”We will not..we will...bla-bla-bla

Let the voters think Obama was voted King.

Well Ted kennedy has moved on to his reward but Boehner is running for his seat as AMNESTY king...

and Huckabee loved his own illegal aliens when he was Gov of Arkansas..

There is no Constitutional reason to reward criminals but they are bound and determined to do it...

whether Obama or Romney was the new president would have made no difference...

Romney was always for AMNESTY too...

He said “We cant send them all back”

and “We must find a pathway to citizenship”

More and more my naturalized American citizenship means less and less to those treasonous jerks...

That was my take too. Once in office he would drop the act and push for it before his 2016 re-election campiagn.

I wouldn't even care if the process created new conservatives but you know it will generate new Obama supporters looking for his handouts, That is why it is counterproductive.

“When the Speaker of the House says Obamacare is the Law of the Land, that speaks volumes.”

Duh it is...

I don’t like it.. it sux big time, but it was passed.

So let’s blame Boehner for that.

” Monday I am calling my US Rep to vote against Boehner for speaker.”

Good, at least that is actionable... other boneheads just want to call him names and quote MSM paraphrases.

“That is what I would expect from a RINO. Maybe you haven’t thought this through. Do you want leftists to control all 3 branches of government forever?”

This comment is stupid...

“Boehner does not champion anything other than his own position. He isolated the 2010 “Tea Party” members. He continues his obsequious grovelling before Obama. He refuses to combat Obamacare. Et cetera ad naseum”

you are being ridiculous - you have no clue what you are talking about or what John’s record is or why they made him Speaker do you.

“On Wednesday Boehner said “We’re ready to be led””

Do you know why this comment was made ? Did you get whole context ? Obama has not come up with a plan so Boehner was egging him on - to put it in a simple context.

Do I need to hold your hand and explain every comment.

Man, I understand... but I’d rather impeach Obama for the Benghazi murders.

Having the economy tank is very painful on my kids, family and friends. Obama’s regulations are killer enough.

Meaning you agree with me that some of Boehner's plans will help Obama and be disastrous for this nation, and my comment is stupid because I don't understand that? Or do you mean that you think what Boehner plans to do will not result in leftist control?

Yo Sicko, old Ray76 here said this is bad when Boehner suggested Obama should lead.

If someone else wants to be Speaker I think they should go for it and then Conservatives need to stick with him... this bashing your own makes me ill.

After you call a guy a Boner what makes you think you have anything relevant to say ?

BTW this is good:
“If he says anything it should be “I implore the president not to raise taxes. It will kill jobs and hurt Americans. Please MR President use your victory to do good for Americans not lose their jobs.”... then let all the taxes go up.”

I’m tweet’en that to Boehner

This might be a great marketing idea for the GOP -> “Let the voters think Obama was voted King.”

No I meant your comment was stupid.

Boehner hasn’t released a plan - he’s wants Obama to release a plan. All Obama wants to do is raise taxes on the rich.

If John caves and taxes JUST the folks making over $250K then I will take everything back, and join in calling him Boner.

I’m banking John takes us over the cliff and all taxes go up, and hangs Obama. Or Obama caves and renews the Bush cuts.

You can file impeaching O with the fantasy that MR would win a landslide election. That complete fantasy was reality for many here but it didn't make it happen. Maybe Boner can have Trump testify at Os impeachment hearing over his Birth Certificate too,

I am just stating where we are. Save the economy under O and then you got two term Dem POTUSes who will be seen as a success and one two term Republican POTUS who will be seen as a failure. That will be the end.

I don’t want to be watching a 2016 POTUS debate reading arguments here that Dems killed the economy under Bush and Republicans saved the economy under Obama expecting that to be a winning argument because it is delusional to think so.

This is bad tasting medicine. It is NOT fool proof, and many Republicans in congress are fools. This is where we are.

RE :”Wasn’t Romney for eVerify and didn’t he like the AZ model of immigration law?

That was back in the R primary,. Later in a debate with Obama he said he was for a ‘path to citizenship’ . The primary was over by then. By then he figured the fools who believed him were forced to vote for him anyway

Romney said whatever he thought the current audience wanted to hear within limits of what he thought he could get away with, to some degree.

This is why I want to remove Boehner as speaker (there may be other reasons that become apparent in the lame duck session, we'll see):

Thursday, 08 Nov 2012: "This issue has been around far too long," the Ohio Republican told ABC News. "A comprehensive approach is long overdue, and I'm confident that the president, myself, others can find the common ground to take care of this issue once and for all."
Boehner was optimistic that Republicans could reach agreement with President Barack Obama on immigration, an issue that has hurt the GOP with Hispanic voters.

There is nothing good about "reaching agreement" (i. e. surrender) to Obama on amnesty.Whether Boehner is naive or intentionally playing political games that sacrifice our future, I don't want him to be Speaker.

RE :”But wouldn't Biden be a great replacement?”

Now I find that a funny and fun thought. Biden is great in interviews. HA-HA

Boner and Reid are not impeaching Obama. You MUST know that. They wont even consider it, Boner has balls of jello and he doesn't appear very bright either,
