Plains: Democrat Takes Close N.D. Senate Race--- {(Damn you RNC and splitters!)}
Roll Call ^

Posted on 11/10/2012 4:18:55 AM PST by SMGFan

Former North Dakota Attorney General Heidi Heitkamp (D) pulled off a major upset, narrowly defeating Republican Rep. Rick Berg in the race to succeed retiring Democratic Sen. Kent Conrad. North Dakota is one of the most solidly Republican states — President Barack Obama won only 39 percent of the vote there — and Heitkamp beat Berg by a razor-thin margin — 3,000 votes, just 1 point.

It’s not even a question of single issue of something like pro-choice as anyone running as a Republican or conservative better be pro-life, or else they are in the wrong damn party, PERIOD! Grow a set and stand with conviction. Once you start carrying your nuts in a man purse, you have already lost.

What a circular firing squad we’ve got going - the rats are certainly laughing their asses off.

They’re mean as hell, not afraid to do whatever it takes to win, and have perfected cheating. Playing nice just doesn’t work. We should have won due to zero’s record alone.

I can take the 4 more years, gas prices sky high, etc. etc. but I can’t take Obamacare. Many of us will die as a direct result of our system being destroyed. Too bad the takers didn’t figure that one out.

Yea, and Ronald Reagan did so well in overturning Roe V. Wade. It seems Ronald Reagan was pro-life in spirit and not a single issue politician as you would like. Ditto with GB1 and GB2. Seems like being pro-life in spirit but not expecting to overturning abortion is the party norm.

And you don’t have a monopoly on the definition of conservative. Heck, you’re probably not conservative yourself, but rather a fundamentalist. A fundamentalist being to the GOP what a Liberal is to the DEM — the extreme fringe of the party.

The original post was about splitting the party vote and my original response was about there being no Quantum Politics. To get to one side from the other, you have to cross the middle. You’re quantum politics just doesn’t work.

Don’t know how anyone in ND could vote for a democrat. They’re tempting fate.

Cause that worked out really well for Akin, right? Thinking like that makes us look like frothing lunatics and voters sprint to the other side as fast as they can.
The Akins and Murdochs of this election cycle were a millstone that was hung on Romney’s neck. Like it or not, this is the fact of the matter. And this is not caving. It’s accepting reality. Akin and Murdoch pissed people off with their clumsy worded answers to stupid questions. And they were too stupid to get out of the race after their stupidity. And anyone associated with them is also hung out to dry. You want to start winning races? Stop pissing people off. Simple as that. Don’t get into the abortion debate.

“”””””””That is a true statement, but is changing with the increase in farm size. The larger the farms, the fewer farmers therefore the fewer votes for subsidies. Additionally the farmer of today is more of a businessman than a poor dirt farmer.

For the longest time ND’s Washington delegation was solid Dem and a Dem governor and I believe the voting trend changed due to ND’s success outside of farming and fewer farmers. Berg’s race was close, if he had not played the RINO nice guy, he might have won.””””””””””””

My ancestors are all from up there in the Red River Valley. They vote for a dem senator because that is what they have always done. Add to that Fargo and Bismarck have enough of a worthless, handout loving population now and there you have it.

This election steal was very well orchestrated.”””

Maybe this explains Obama’s behavior in the debates—Biden’s also.
