I am NOT a man! I am a 62-year old woman who could not possibly be more pro-life!!! Can you not read? Look at my tagline. I did not say that I thought his ideas were extreme. In fact, I agree with those who do not automatically agree with exceptions for rape. A baby whose life is the result of rape is just as innocent and precious as any other baby's life. You are just not going to win many votes if you say things like Aiken and Murdock said.

I said that the MEDIA had already painted Santorum as extreme. I agree with Rush that Roe vs. Wade was wrongly decided, but that it will most likely never be overturned no matter how many conservative Supreme Court justices are on the USSC because the judges are very reluctant to overturn what they consider to be established law. Rush says that we need to focus on changing people's hearts about this issue, and that IS happening. Now, more Americans consider themselves to be pro-life than ever before and we have 3D sonograms and excellent neonatal care to thank for that. Anyone who sees a picture of a fetus at 20 weeks knows that it is NOT just a mass of tissue and the accounts of the survival of babies of 6 months gestation continue to be a testimony to the miracle of life.

Ma’am I do apologize. We’ve got lots of Romney supporters here who don’t support prolife causes.

“You are just not going to win many votes if you say things like Aiken and Murdock said.”

Are we the party of votes or the party of integrity?

“Rush says that we need to focus on changing people’s hearts about this issue, and that IS happening.”

Agreed wholeheartedly. It would happen more quickly if the party stood behind prolife conservatives rather than attacking them at every opportunity.

His ideas of moderation for the party are not working. Twice we have lost election by choosing to punt on the culture war.

We have all the right ideas. Why are we not using them?

Great rant and little with which I can disagree.

Another idiotic tool is how delegates are allocated by state. They put about 3/4th of the emphasis on population and 1/4th of the emphasis on the actual ability of the state to deliver electoral votes to the GOP candidate in the fall.

That formula needs to be reversed. There is no way California, who hasn't voted for the GOP presidential candidate since 1988 and probably never will do so again in my lifetime, should get more delegates that Texas who has delivered ever election since 1980.

There are roughly 4.5 times as many convention delegates as electoral votes. Each state should start out with their base number of electoral votes for delegates. Triple weight should be given to their actual ability and past history in delivering electoral votes. Then bonus delegates for things like U.S. senators, congressmen, governors and houses of the state legislature which they control.

With one modification. States that flip to the democrats get their representation halved. States that flip to the republicans get their representation doubled for the subsequent primary. So, say you give CA 1/2 for staying Democrat and TX gets 2x for being republican. All the red states would get 2x delegates and the blue states 1/2.

I don’t know why candidates let themselves get suckered into answering those kinds of questions. They could simply say that rapists should be punished, the baby is innocent, the mother is innocent, and he is not going to comment on it further. Or he could say that he is not King Solomon or God, so he is going to decline to meddle in a difficult situation which should be between the woman, her God, and her doctor. Lots of ways to approach this.

Maybe they should reframe the issue by explaining the history of the abortion movement. It was a racist and bigotted movement. Elites felt that certain groups should not reproduce.

Which party supports murdering babies of color? Same party that supported the Klan. Democrats.

We will never fix the GOP unless they believe they need to reach out to Conservatives more than they need to reach out to minorities, women, gays, etc. A Conservative Party is the only way to demonstrate the true reason they keep losing.

The GOP has to be the conservative party. That is the only possible realistic solution.

A Conservative Party is the only way to demonstrate the true reason they keep losing.

"They" have to be "we." We need to make sure our local, state, national, and primary winners are all conservatives who can win. Party leadership will be decided in the next couple of months here. I'll have my say, at least with the party apparatuses themselves.

Priebus was picked by the RNC committeemen and committeewomen. There are one of each in every state. Those positions are chosen at state republican conventions by the delegates there. State republican delegates are chosen by precinct delegates at county conventions. In my state, precinct delegates are elected in republican primaries. It's often an uncontested position.

If we want to clean house, it starts by us getting involved in our local parties.

I am convicted that it was a ‘secret test of character’ for Mitt Romney and that God wanted him exposed as his enemy. Well, it succeeded. Akin and Mourdock were honest and preached the faith that God brings rain on the righteous and the wicked, and Romney and all the ‘non-believers’ sacked both for preaching the faith.

Akin and Mourdock will be blessed for sticking with God. I am sure of it. Romney will fade into obscurity, and this time 2 years from now - all those attacking Akin and Mourdock will be the same. Akin and Mourdock passed their tests. Romney failed.

The problem is that we as Republicans cower when the media mocks them.

As do some FREEPERs when other FREEPERS attack them.

Pro choice only means the choice to kill your unborn child.

And better NOT do it on your own without PROFESSIONAL assistance!!

And how do you propose to Constitutionally prevent "idiots" from voting?

Well; if they possessed a DEED to real property; that would tend to weed some of them out.

Oh... Wait...

I’m in agreement on this strategy, as long as we can insure the Dems will be held accountable.

Day will be!

When Kristallnacht II happens in this country; the 'press' will be in full acceptance of it; even urging it on!

Don’t they head to the US if they can to get better medical treatment?

No.

BETTER has nothing to do with it; while GETTING it does!
