No. 8 - Continually confront and challenge the State-Run Media Axis. And demand that our candidates do the same.

The GOP-E can’t be saved, especially after this debacle. It needs to be burned to the ground and rebuilt from the bottom up. Let it go the way of the Whigs.

Maybe allowing our nominee to be chosen by two moderate, lily white states that seem to choose their favorite Republican candidates

The primary process is a disaster. Agreed

The GOP-E is the Republican Party. It is Conservatives who are the out of step minority. It is time to boost the Tea Party movement to party staus. Create a Conservative Party and leave the GOP to wither on the vine.

The establishment doesn't get to choose the next GOP nominee

BTW, the GOP-E already preempted that item in Tampa.

This article is a massive fail.

1. RUN A CONSERVATIVE.

“The primary system needs to be reformed: Here’s a thought: Maybe allowing our nominee to be chosen by two moderate, lily white states”

Santorum actually won in Iowa, so for all the complaining about the primary system - it’s not to blame for the result. The problem was that the conservatives kept backing a candidate who could not win (Gingrich). Had Gingrich withdrawn after Santorum won Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota - we’d be talking about president Santorum right now.

But alas.

Delegate allocation needs to be reformed big time. It makes absolutely no sense that California (who will never deliver a single electoral vote to the GOP) gets more delegates that Texas (who always and reliably does).

Right now, the delegate allocation process is roughly 3/4th based on population and 1/4th based on reliability of delivering electoral votes to the GOP ticket. That ratio needs to be reversed.

I have no problem giving states extra delegates for GOP governors, congressmen, U.S. Senators and state control of legislatures. But they need to do something when they have those advantages.

Pennsylvania pissed away a golden opportunity to deliver 13 electoral votes to the GOP ticket this year when our state chairman blocked a bill introduced last year to allocate our electoral votes the same way they do in in Maine and Nebraska: 1 for each congressional district, 2 for the statewide winner.

” and then, in 2016, we’re going to beat whomever they run like a rented mule and step over their political corpse into the White House.”

Heard this story ever since 2008. “ A ham sandwich will be able to beat Obama in 2012.”

How did that turn out?

Screw the GOP.

Support the Democrats in every silly little thing they want to do. Once the USA has disintegrated, THEN build a Conservative party.

You should have seen what happened when I tried telling that to the Newtbots back in February.

3) The establishment doesn't get to choose the next GOP nominee: What have we been hearing over and over again from the D.C. establishment and the Old Guard in the Republican Party? We have to choose a moderate candidate who runs a bland, safe campaign and doesn't talk about social issues. Well, guess what? We just lost two straight elections against a weak opponent with candidates who fit that mold perfectly. Next time around, we need a full spectrum conservative who can actually inspire people to turn out to vote FOR HIM instead of just AGAINST the Democratic nominee.

Here we go again. The GOPe didn't select Romney or McCain, the primary voters did. Decisively.

Reforming the primary system so that it isn't all or nothing might help, but blaming the GOPe because the voters selected Romney won't.

I agree with your sentiments, but history shows that when people are in crisis they turn to more government, not less. The trend is from freedom and democracy to dictatorship and repression.

They need to do nothing.

There is nothing that can be done to salvage the situation. The tyrant will rule as he pleases. there is no need to pander in any way toward his wishes.

Doing nothing may resolve the issues within 6 months, a year tops.

Let the man be crucified on the cross of his own making.

Lol, Santorum would’ve been the worst disaster of a Republican presidential candidate ever. The majority of Americans simply don’t vote for the social issues Santorum represents.

1. Accept the fact that the majority of American voter are COMPLETE MORONS who cannot read or understand words longer than 2 syllables. Every time I heard Romney and especially Ryan say “sequestration” I wanted to hurl. The next campaign has to be based totally in pictures. Think Big Bird was dumb? It was brilliant! Democrat voters all know who Big Bird is. If they even heard the word “Benghazi” they probably thought he was a guy who had it coming.

One of the problems with the Republican party is it’s viewed a a rich white man’s club; the master manipulator sold that image to the MSM which delivered it to the brainless Left who used it as a wedge against the Republican Party to get everyone to vote against “The Man”. To turn this around we need to recreate the image of the Republican Party as one that is family oriented, believes in justice, moral living, God, and is loving and kind, accepting of people as they are, etc...I.e. “GOOD”. The Democrats are currently being portrayed as young, evil/vile, amoral, naive, more prone to substance abuse and criminal history so it wouldn’t take long to demonize them if you portray the RP as the polar opposite but you need to be inclusive and accept people of diversity into the party to accomplish this.

Sell that image and get the party more diverse with all races and the transformation will begin. Just my .02
