Ephesians 6:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places I think that because of almost 1 Century of This country ignoring and abandoning G*D's for this country will he has let Satan have his way with us.

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: ateup; holybible; vanity
I also think that you can look at Romans 1 to see what G*D has judged us with.

We probably didn’t lose the election because God is judging us, more likely we are losing elections because we ran a mediocre campaign and large percentages of people have figured out they can vote themselves free stuff. This is just a human nature thing.

Now there in one of Satan’s “Angels” in charge of the US. BE READY it’s gonna get rougher than ANY of us has EVER seen it. If you are a Christian persecution is coming SOON. This will be us:

Me too...

No way some unknown like Obama would ever become president, much less twice, were it not so... Obama is a symptom of the disease that has infected America. Worse, we may have waited too long on a cure...

A disease like this, you have to get ahead of if you intend to beat it.

Every true Christian will agree with you because God’s Word plainly says so.

I said this on another thread, and I’d like to shout from the rooftops because it might literally save lives—

Our nation has turned away from God. What can we expect other than what we have received? What can we do about it? “Return to Me that I may return to you.” Zechariah 1:3

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man or princes (rulers, leaders). Psalm 118:8-9

The fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted. Many seek the ruler’s favor, but justice for man comes from the LORD.

An unjust man is abominable to the righteous, and he who is upright in the way is abominable to the wicked.

Proverbs 29:25-27

There is only one way that God has provided by which man can be saved and have a relationship with the living God, our Creator and Sustainer, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12: There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.”

As individuals in a nation, this is our only Hope.

Glenn Beck laid out this perspective....

His daughters live in NY. He’s warned them many times, get out...leave...go to where it will be safe, Sandy and more storms are coming.

But they did not leave. They stayed and are now hunkered down dealing with the aftermath of the storm(s).

So it’s not Glenn’s judgement or wrath that his daughters have to deal with...it’s the consequence of their bad decision.

Bad decisions have consequences. And it’s not that God moves away or that He left us....sometimes WE move. Sometimes WE don’t hear God and/or follow his directive and what He wants from us. So I don’t think God is pouring his judgement on us, I just think too many, for too long, have not been following His word or worse, have completely neglected His word. Now we all have to pay, unfortunately.

But it is a wake up call and while the sleeping giant is awake...I believe this unfortunate turn of events calls for a Spiritual Awakening of epic proportions. HE is the only way we turn this around.

From one who knows God, we are definitely under the judgment of God Almighty. He has been very longsuffering with this nation. If you took just one issue alone, we have aborted 55 millions babies since 1971. That is a lot of blood that has been shed and has polluted our land.

How God dealt with His people, the sons of Israel, in His Word the Bible shows us how God deals with a rebellious, stubborn, and idolatrous people and nation.

Here is a verse from one of the prophets, Jeremiah, that describes God’s future dealings with the nations (that’s us):

“A clamor has come to the end of the earth, because the LORD has a controversy with the nations. He is entering into judgment with all flesh; as for the wicked, He has given them to the sword,” declares the LORD.

Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Behold, evil is going forth from nation to nation, and a great storm is being stirred up from the remotest parts of the earth. And those slain by the LORD on that day shall be from one end of the earth to the other. They shall not be lamented, gathered, or buried;they shall be like dung on the ace of the ground.”
[Jeremiah 25:31-33]

I posted on a Facebook account that has now been blocked because I violated the "Community Standards" of their website:

Daniel 5:18-31, "O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down. But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him. Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses. "But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this. And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified. Then the fingers of the hand were sent from Him, and this writing was written. "And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians." Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain. And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old."

The people of this country know better, yet they acted wickedly anyway. Their, and our days as a nation, as numbered.

Here's another passage, and this one is taken out of context daily. Folks need to read the ENTIRE passage to get the proper perspective:

2 Chronicles 7:12-14, "Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

I've seen the rain withheld in recent years, I've seen diseases running rampant, and the locusts have been devouring parts of the land, yet the people refuse to humble themselves and repent. Is it any wonder that the nation is under judgment?

The blame for our cultural rot may have once fallen at the feet of apathetic Christians, but it can no longer. We've been shouting the warning from the rooftops for a generation or more. We've been abundantly clear about God's coming judgement. Every Prog knows very well that the Church and the Bible condemn their "lifestyles" and call them to repentance and-here's the key-They Don't Give a Damn. They may hate the messenger, but they cannot claim ignorance of the message.

We need to stop flogging ourselves about our failure to reach people and embrace the fact that we live in the midst of a stiff-necked and wicked people who know the truth but hate it and deny the power thereof. And if we have not a sword, we need to sell our cloak and go and buy one, because persecution is upon us.

After Tuesday night; I finally, after a day of depression that would delight and satisfy the “revenge” wish of Obama, decided that it WAS God’s will for these things to go as they went. - No government of man is sufficient for the governing of man; as the decline and fall of the last best hope of man on earth (America) now shows. - The ascension of the Antichrist is, I think, near; followed by the return of Jesus Christ and the setting up of His Kingdom (the Government that shall be on his shoulders). - I am looking for his return; but woe, woe, woe to the inhabiters of the earth before that happens. The trumpets have most likely already been sounding, only the tv has been too loud for us to hear them. Does anyone think that the terrible World Wars we’ve already couldn’t possibly be trumpets sounding?

I hadn’t heard about those. It’s the general thinking of prophecy scholars that the “trumpets” of Revelation are actually the shofars (rams’ horns) spoken of in the Old Testament. One Bible prophecy scholar I’ve heard thinks that the next thing to come is the war that’s spoken of in Revelation emanating from the Euphrates River that kills one-third of mankind. He posits that the first two trumpets were WWI and WWII. The guy’s name is Irvin Baxter who has a program on a Christian channel (Endtime) Again, I’m not a scholar of any kind and don’t pretend to be.

I read this book.

BTW, this book was written in 1881; you wouldn't believe how accurate it is!

The End of the Present World

Reading this book was one of the greatest graces of my life!"
— St. Thérèse of Lisieux

In the late nineteenth century, Father Charles Arminjon, a priest from the mountains of southeastern France, assembled his flock in the town cathedral to preach a series of conferences to help them turn their thoughts away from this life’s mean material affairs—and toward the next life’s glorious spiritual reward. His wise and uncompromising words deepened in them the spirit of recollection that all Christians must have: the abiding conviction that heavenly aims, not temporal enthusiasms, must guide everything we think, say, and do.

When Father Arminjon’s conferences were later published in a book, many others were able to reap the same benefit—including fourteen-year-old Thérèse Martin, then on the cusp of entering the Carmelite convent in Lisieux. Reading it, she says, “plunged my soul into a happiness not of this earth.” Young Thérèse, filled with a sense of “what God reserves for those who love him, and seeing that the eternal rewards had no proportion to the light sacrifices of life,” copied out numerous passages and memorized them, “repeating unceasingly the words of love burning in my heart.”

Now the very book that so inspired the Little Flower is available for the first time in English.

Let the pages of The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life fill you with the same burning words of love, with the same ardent desire to know God above all created things, that St. Thérèse gained from them. Let them also enrich your understanding of certain teachings of the Faith that can often seem so mysterious, even frightening:

  • The signs that will precede the world’s end
  • The coming of the Antichrist, and how to recognize him
  • The Judgment and where it may send us: heaven, hell, and purgatory
  • Biblical end-times prophecy: how to read it and not be deceived

Jesus commands us to be ever-watchful for his return, and ever-mindful that we have no lasting city on earth. The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life is an invaluable aid to inculcating in your spirit that heavenly orientation, without which true human happiness cannot be found—in this world or the next.

Thank you for sharing Scripture and your wisdom. I feel to effectively evangelize for the next election, we must share the Word of the Lord without fear of persecution. And they will scream, hiss and recoil like snakes in a bonfire. The Word is Divine truth - eternal. Reading and meditating on it brings us into conjunction with the Lord. Sharing it with our thought/meditations brings us all into Communion. The dems have their machine - we have the Word and the love of God and the neighbor.

I love our weekly Bible study broadcast from my Church back east. It's like being washed in the Spirit - but it is not political or topical. I have an online ministry that is not part of my Church to avoid tax exempt problems for them - I am a member, not ordained.

Today, I've seen many posts regarding the election results and the Biblical ramifications. Christians of all stripes coming together on a common path to share Scripture and thoughts to defeat darkness and bring light and the Lord's Kingdom to earth - the New Jerusalem.

I believe this is how the Lord's Kingdom will come to earth - with all Christians putting aside differences of doctrine as matters of opinion, following the Two Great Commandments and working together against a common enemy - evil and falsity, self love and love of the world - things that are assigned to HELL in the spiritual world.

Let us be servants to each other as Christ taught. Let us look to His Word and share our collective wisdom to evangelize, save life, marriage and families as defined in His Word. Let us become involved at local and state government to establish Tea Party principals to take back our federal government. Amen

P.S. Hot Tabasco, you do NOT speak for me.

A fantastic quote just sent to me — look at the election and our nation — and pro-life issues when you read this.

“Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves.”

-Winston Churchill.

I think you know I'm a member of the New Church and hold Swedenborg's Writings as you hold the Writings of your Saints. Anyway, he wrote:

“… In the Christian world it is doctrinal matters that distinguish churches; and from them men call themselves Roman Catholics, Lutherans, and Calvinists, or the Reformed and the Evangelical, and by other names [including Swedenborgians]. It is from what is doctrinal alone that they are so called; which would never be if they would make love to the Lord and charity toward the neighbor the principal of faith. Doctrinal matters would then be only varieties of opinion concerning the mysteries of faith, which truly Christian men would leave to everyone to hold in accordance with his conscience, and would say in their hearts that a man is truly a Christian when he lives as a Christian, that is, as the Lord teaches. Thus from all the differing churches there would be made one church; and all the dissensions that come forth from doctrine alone would vanish; yea, all hatreds of one against another would be dissipated in a moment, and the Lord's kingdom would come upon the earth.” (Emanuel Swedenborg, Heavenly Secrets 1799:4)

I saw a start to this happening last summer with Chick-Fil-A but it was a wave that subsided. Now it's happening again but I know this time we have to remain diligent in how we focus and perhaps use existing prayer threads to keep this going. Or just allow it to evolve organically as folks are moved to share. Just put the Kingdom first.

USNV you are so right, this is a spirtual attack. I don’t remember the author but he made a very good case that the USA has remained free is because of repeated revivals. He said there was a revival that united the people of the 13 colonies before the revolution despite their political and religious divisions, to the point that during the constitution convention, when they were deadlocked someone would call for a time of prayer and the issue would be resolved. We need revival, one that starts with believers hearts first......

Spiritual wickedness in high places is so easy to see, they are in every part of Government, and to some extent the churches, and every organization in the nation, but the reason the spiritual wicked people are there is because we keep putting them there.

How many honest men do you know that would even want a Government job let alone be in politics?

How many do you know who would seriously think about going to college to learn the Gospel?
