Hey, maybe the boycott has NOTHING to do with the company's woes...but I tell you what, they've lost my business over the issue. And unless they change, I won't be returning.
Get a load of this line from the article:
The company, which is in the early stages of a multiyear turnaround...
LOL. Yeah, multiyear turnaround....as in from now until eternity.

the link above explains more about the boycott.
An election can be rigged - but not shoppers. If Penney execs really felt the 2% of Americans who are gay could keep their store open, they’re not smart enough to be in business. Besides, Penney’s was a middle class store ... guess the liberal elites running the place didn’t know that either...
I used to buy most of my clothes from JCP because they have a decent selection of tall clothing (I'm over 6'5" tall). I used to receive a Big/Tall catalog from them, and I would receive mailings and emails that included coupons, free shipping, etc. That all stopped with the new regime. He ended sales and coupons, and the only catalog I receive is a pathetic one not aimed at me as a tall person; but one that features a bunch of unshaven/unwashed metrosexuals in rumpled suits with plaid shirts and purple ties. I don't know why the CEO thought he could improve over what has worked for decades.
The company probably saw declining sales and wanted to do an overhaul to try to deal with it. Unfortunately, they tried to fix what was not broken. Their declining sales were due to the Obamaconomy. They simply made a bad situation worse.
Used to buy my kids clothing there. They had good prices and good quality. Will purchase clothing second hand now before I will ever shop there again. They have not had my business for going on 2 years now.
There’s no fixing JCP now. They have “fag store” written all over ‘em. I’d never return just because of thier pandering to the 3% gay population.
What decent parent wants thier kids in there when they’re likely to be exposed to a 20’ x 30’ poster of 2 guys making out? And since they’re going after the gays, I would be very hesitant to go into the dressing rooms.
When you turn 700 stores into 100 boutiques.... does that mean 600 stores are closed and 100 are downsized?
Great news!
Next up, THE MEDIA.
Onward Christian soldiers!
(They were mystified on Squawk Box this morning, LOL)
This former Penney shopper does not patronize them because of their use of Degenerate in ads, etc...and I was a VERY good customer....
Seems I’m not the only one....and I doubt any turn around will happen soon...certainly not in the next 4 yrs.....
Oh, God...four years....
26% decline is a turnaround just like this “recovery” we’ve been having
Haven’t stepped foot in the Penney’s store since they started catering to the homo lobby. And I won’t. I’ve had it with these companies that spit on my values, from pushing the radical gay agenda to supporting illegals. It’s a shame when it’s an old company with a great history and heritage, but they made the decision. To hell with them; they can go bankrupt.
JCP = Just Can’t Pay.........
I will never shop in their store again.
Good...this is war. Time for conservatives to fight back. Maine just approved queer ‘marriage’...boot them fromyour vacation plans; stifle business/retail relationships (L.L. Bean, etc.) It’s Christmas...they NEED our money...do NOT give it to them.
I used to shop at Penney's a lot. I started not liking the way the clothing changed (couldn't find anything I wanted to buy). At this point, the local Penneys (Seattle area) has so little product on their floor that it isn't even worth going in to look. I used to be able to find things for one of my daughters; but, there just isn't anything to look at any more at that store.
It is very evident they are done.
Guess the 1.5% homosexual population has better taste than to spend it on JCP Chinese junk. They like Abercrombie & Fitch because of the faaaabulous ads.
Many laid off Penney’s corporate office people in my area.
Sniff.. tears. Too bad. Walmart is hiring. Haha..
I am posting to let Penny’s management know why I am no longer shopping in their store. I am certain that they will be made aware of this FreeRepublic article. I too am a tall man (5’ 16”) and just about everything in my current closet came from Penny’s. I liked their selection, their quality, and their prices. I haven’t bought anything from Penny’s since they announced Ellen Degenerate as their spokesperson. I will not enter their stores until they publicly announce that they will no longer be a party to gay issues in any way (philosophically or financially).
I am now in need of some items of clothing and haven’t decided where to go, but I have no doubt about where not to go.
JCPenney - RIP - cause of demise: HOMO-cide
I know I quit buying from them last year.
They lost me when they stopped carrying the clothes I wanted to buy. I spend more for the same lines at Belk, but you do what you gotta.
