J.C. Penney Co Inc (JCP) reported a sharper-than-expected decline in quarterly sales at stores open at least a year as shoppers continued to snub the retailer after it got rid of most coupons and sales earlier this year.
The company, which is in the early stages of a multiyear turnaround, said on Friday that same-store sales had fallen 26.1 percent, while analysts had expected a decrease of 17.9 percent. Shares of the department store chain dropped 7 percent to $20.18 in premarket trading.
Penney has eliminated most coupons and sales events and plans to transform about 700 of its 1,100 stores into a collection of 100 boutiques, such as Levi's Denim Bar, by 2015.

Good...this is war. Time for conservatives to fight back. Maine just approved queer ‘marriage’...boot them fromyour vacation plans; stifle business/retail relationships (L.L. Bean, etc.) It’s Christmas...they NEED our money...do NOT give it to them.

So have I. And I’ve also had it with my bishop, who supports the “right” of illegals to bilk American taxpayers and has declined to join the lawsuit against Obamacare because he likes socialized medicine. No more donations to the “Cardinal’s Appeal” or anything else he sponsors.
I used to shop at Penney's a lot. I started not liking the way the clothing changed (couldn't find anything I wanted to buy). At this point, the local Penneys (Seattle area) has so little product on their floor that it isn't even worth going in to look. I used to be able to find things for one of my daughters; but, there just isn't anything to look at any more at that store.
It is very evident they are done.
Sad to say that the state of Washington has also legalized gay marriage (and pot).
They just sent me a $10 certificate because I haven’t canceled my card yet. I might go in and take $10 off their bottom line and then cancel the card.
Guess the 1.5% homosexual population has better taste than to spend it on JCP Chinese junk. They like Abercrombie & Fitch because of the faaaabulous ads.
Many laid off Penney’s corporate office people in my area.
Sniff.. tears. Too bad. Walmart is hiring. Haha..
I was looking at their men's shirt collection and about half the dress shirts are various shades of pink.
Conservatives have more financial clout than sodomites...we need to start using it. Embrace the agenda, and you go down. (Metaphorically speaking, of course.)
I am posting to let Penny’s management know why I am no longer shopping in their store. I am certain that they will be made aware of this FreeRepublic article. I too am a tall man (5’ 16”) and just about everything in my current closet came from Penny’s. I liked their selection, their quality, and their prices. I haven’t bought anything from Penny’s since they announced Ellen Degenerate as their spokesperson. I will not enter their stores until they publicly announce that they will no longer be a party to gay issues in any way (philosophically or financially).
I am now in need of some items of clothing and haven’t decided where to go, but I have no doubt about where not to go.

I know I quit buying from them last year.
They lost me when they stopped carrying the clothes I wanted to buy. I spend more for the same lines at Belk, but you do what you gotta.
I quit shopping them as well, and also Target. As long as we continue to support businesses that cater to the degenerates, it only serves to make them believe that everything is ok with what they are doing.
The same with musicians, stars, etc. I refuse to support any of their careers. They, too, need to feel the brunt of their lifestyle choices and support of liberal causes.
I wonder if they will be smart enough to put some timelines up to compare to one another: When they went to the “never on sale” philosophy and when they started promoting homosexual “families”.... Check the sales trends since those times. SHEESH. I used to LOVE JCP. Now I do not even open their ads that come in the newspaper, have spent maybe $8 there in the past two years and do not intend to shop there again.
Even GBTV was disappointing. Beck predicted a Romney win "by a comfortable margin" like everybody else. I have not tuned into Beck or any news source since the election debacle. I scarcely even look in here anymore. My days as a political junkie are coming to an end.

Geez, S-C...I understand completely. I, alongwith most of the FReepers, sat back on Tues night, drink in hand, ready to welcome in the new dawn...
I spent the night with stomach cramps and no sleep...cursing EVERYONE who led me down the garden path. Maybe I was easily led but it all seemed so convincing what with the country being in the toilet.
I can’t take much more of this (yes, a definite whimp) nor can my health. I kept saying to myself all Tues night and Wed morning, “Why do you let this upset you to the point of ulcers? You can only do SO much; it’s out of your control. Why do you care so much about something you can’t control?”
Call me naive but I honestly thought most of the rest of the country still cared as much as I do...
I was SO wrong...
