Due to the high standards maintained on FR, I cannot say what I would like Mr. Boehner to do.

Conservatives need to find a challenger to oust this guy. He doesn’t belong anywhere near any type of “leadership” position .

Why couldn’t he have simply said, “until such time as we have the votes to repeal it, it is the law. I will continue to hope that one day we do have the votes but until such time, I am bound to obey the laws passed by congress, as disreputable as they may be.”

We already know that Boehner had struck a deal with Obama including raising taxes. Obama came back and reneged demanding more concessions. Boehner is not the guy I want handling any negoitiations. He lost a valuable opportunity to change things right after the 2010 midterms. He failed to use his leverage and gave away the farm.

I think the Republicans are going to let it unfold—to the horror of all. It can be undone with a simple majority in the House and Senate—so they are betting that Obamcare is so bad it will give them the Senate in 2014.

I have no love for Boehner but he's right.

And I think there are a fair number of Obama voters, who didn't necessarily support his ridiculous health care reform, who need to understand what the consequences of their stupidity are.

i really like to think this is a cunning move by Boehner and that six months down the road Americans will be screaming for repeal- at least more than already are- once it starts to take and the GOP won’t be branded as “obstructionists”- but this is Boehner- house leader of the party of stoooopid- so i know better....

We need to coordinate a phone/email protest to this statement. That’s the biggest problem with Republicans, we just let this crap go and these A$$HO!ES think they’re ok.

He needs to take this back. As Rick Santorum said, “Don’t give this issue away, folks.”

I suggest that we now start a movement to have Obamacare apply to *all* government personnel as well (including elected officials).

I agree Boehner should be replaced for other reasons, but in this case, why?? We lost. Boehner is acknowledging the obvious. What`s he supposed to say?

Obamacare is set in stone now. Voters want it.

Uh, folks, UNTIL WE GET CONTROL OF THE WHITE HOUSE, SENATE, AND HOUSE, HE IS JUST SPEAKING THE DAMN TRUTH!

What the HELL is wrong with him telling the truth?!

There is NO realistic way to avoid it.

Nearly every banner ad I saw for Romney said he would "repeal Obamacare". The voters knew what was at stake. They chose Obamugabe.

Don't smack down Boehner...Boehner and the House passed three or four REPEALS to Obamacare, IIRC, and they were DOA.

SCOTUS approved it, though there are some more roads based on freedom of religion, etc...

Until the American voters are convinced this despicable law needs to be stopped, we need to realize where we are!

Of course lots of roadblocks ought to be pursued...I have been talking about lowering my "economic footprint" and trying to starve the beast.

We know the rich, as they are targeted for destruction for by Obama, will find ways to hide or shift their wealth away from taxation.

Our next chance is in two years, and then four years, if there is any damn Republic left.

I'm just sayin'...John Boehner is RECOGNIZING REALITY.

He could have said he would defend the law with the same vigor that obama has defended the Defense of Marriage Act, our immigration laws, and whatever other laws he’s chosen to ignore.

Obama has beaten the GOP at every turn. Obama is trying to transform America according to his Marxist revolutionary views, and they are trying to be polite over dinner at the Country Club.
