2016 election: Hillary Clinton vs. Jeb Bush?
Politico ^ | November 8, 2012 | JONATHAN MARTIN and MAGGIE HABERMAN

BOSTON — American politics may be headed back to the future.

Four years after the country elected a 40-something African-American newcomer named Barack to the presidency, a more familiar political order is poised to reassert itself: the House of Clinton representing Democrats and the House of Bush atop the GOP.

The restoration of either is no sure thing, but what’s certain is that Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush loom the largest over their respective parties as the long road toward 2016 begins. Any other would-be presidential candidate will first take a long look toward Chappaqua and Miami before moving forward.

Clinton, particularly, freezes her party’s 2016 nomination process starting at this moment. After barely falling short in 2008 and earning high marks and soaring approval ratings in four years as America’s top diplomat, she unambiguously has the strongest claim on being the next Democratic standard-bearer. If, and it is a big unknown, she wants another shot at the presidency.

Bush, were he to run, most likely wouldn’t clear the field in the way Clinton could. But his gravitas, fundraising capability, Florida roots and entree to Hispanics makes him the most formidable Republican on a sparkling roster of potential 2016 contenders.

“I think the GOP should find a community organizer who won a state senate seat by getting their competition removed from the ballot.”

There ya go! And it probably wouldn’t hurt if he’s non-white and in the closet. /sarc

Read My Lips.... NO MORE BUSHES !!

We warned them about Romney, and we're warning them about globalist "new world order" Bush.

Hillary v. Jeb?! If this current administration doesn’t do us in, that contest would.

Here’s what I’d like to see happen. After the last election, Ron Paul (like him or not) started Campaign for Liberty. Unfortunately, that’s all they did ... start. No follow through. Someone needs to get started NOW on a viable third party and start prepping for 2016. Waiting until 2015 to do it is too late.

Already the GOP is concluding that Romney lost because he wasn’t liberal enough, just as the party did in 2006. Bush will crash and burn just as quickly in 2016 despite tracking way to the left of Romney.

Jeb is number 3 on Daily Caller editor Jamie Weinstein's list of 13 possible contenders for 2016:

  1. Marco Rubio
  2. Chris Christie
  3. Jeb Bush
  4. Rand Paul
  5. Paul Ryan
  6. Sarah Palin
  7. Bobby Jindal
  8. Rick Santorum
  9. Mike Huckabee
  10. Bob McDonnell
  11. Rick Perry
  12. Mike Pence
  13. Morry “The Grizz” Taylor

Writes Weinstein:

In a country of 300 million people, you would think that there would be plenty of serious presidential contenders, but it seems we keep going back to the Bushes. Considered a serious man and a policy wonk, Jeb has also been talking about the need for the GOP to do a better job reaching out to Hispanics for a very long time — his wife was born in Mexico. Jeb’s downside is his last name: George W. Bush still isn’t Mr. Popular nationally and there is a natural reticence to electing the third member of the same family as president in less than three decades. But watch out: Jeb could be for real.

OHHHH GOODY, “politico”, ALREADY PICKING our 2016 Candidate.

No chit. I'm dreading the fact that we may have to listen to and read crap like this for four more years!

Politico picking Jeb Bush for us, ABC radio news yesterday claiming that people are begging Chris Christie to run in 2016, various pundits warning that we have to abandon our pro-life position, embrace amnesty and gay marriage.

In other words, just become Democrats and we might have a shot in 2016.

I believe they should remove Chris Christie off of that list. Probably Mike Huckabee and Jeb Bush too. I don’t hear or see many who would back such a candidate.

Especially Christie after his bromance with Odumbo just before the election. Screw him.
