What are our options?
Self | 08 November 2012 | Self

OK, so Obama was re-elected on Tuesday. What are our options?

  1. Bend over and just take it. We wait for four years and try to elect someone who is closer to us in political outlook and perspective. We pay our taxes, call in to conservative talk radio shows, get our grievances off our collective chest. We suck it up and work from the inside to change the system.

However, it took the liberals 80 years of promising free stuff to lazy people in order to make it happen. As conservatives, we will not promise them free stuff. We merely promise them a chance to work hard for a possibility of getting ahead. That is not a recipe for garnering votes from at least half of the people. We will never re-gain our country from within. Ever.

  2. Go with the the flow. This option is different, and may not sit well with most people. Vote for the worst leaders we can--Bernie Sanders, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Maxine Waters, Biden, Reid, Pelosi. Support them in everything they do. Drive this country into the ground as fast as we can. When we've totally destroyed what's left of this wonderful place, we can begin the re-building process--hopefully with more support than we have now.

  3. Fire our employees and become one of the takers. “Show them they can't take from us.” Go Galt. Shrug. Whatever you want to call it. Get off the grid and starve the beast. This option only lasts as long as the government is willing to tolerate you. Once enough people are doing this, they will decide to gather you back in to the fold or kill you. That is a real option. It may work for you, but it will not change this country.

  4. Secede. Our country is gone. This is the most difficult—both physically and emotionally. Physically because, as we all know, The Federal government will not take secession lying down. They will come after those who attempt to leave and it won't be pretty. For those who believe that your fellow citizens won't fire on you, think again. People under authority, and people under orders do things they strongly disagree with merely because someone in authority has told them to do it. It has been proven multiple times in the lab and in the field. It will also be difficult emotionally. This is our country. We would be destroying something wonderful that was founded over 200 years ago. Unfortunately, that country no longer exists, and hasn't for about 80 years or more—since the New Deal was legislated into law. The big decision each one of us has to make is--”Am I willing to sacrifice everything I have and hold dear for a non-guaranteed attempt to bring our country back?” That sacrifice will come—it's not just a possibility.

So. Those are the options as I currently see them to change our country. I am not forgetting prayer. This is something we all must do regardless of the choice(s) we make above. Option 1 is obviously the easiest. We don't have to change our lives, or actually do anything different. Just complain and bend over as they continue to come at us. Option 3 is the most difficult. I am not charismatic. I could not persuade people to join me or any cause I support. It must be started and led by people much better at that than I am.

Starve the useless Beast that is our government. Take maximum payroll deductions. Then in April file an extension. Then file another extension. Don’t pay them.

Avoid taxes of any kind as much as you can. If millions did this would could really make them hurt within a year.

As expected (I am not denigrating you guys), most people are going to choose option 1. Work from within and try to vote for the people we want.

#5 - Become personally self-reliant (yourself & your family ... neighbors if they are of the same mind). A huge collapse is coming & only the self-reliant will survive. We’re over the cliff, Obama was re-elected Captain of the Titanic. Romney only would have slowed things down. Take heart, and find your hope and strength in the Lord Jesus Christ because He is coming back sooner than many people are willing to recognize or accept. IF there is time, those who survive the collapse may be able to start rebuilding the country out of the ashes/rubble ....

Elect members of your state legislature hell bent on opposing everything out of DC. Control 2/3rds of them, and the federal government is powerless.

Either take over the GOP for real.

Or move to a new party.

This is absurd.

Here is my opinion I been posting, re-edited for your vanity

You see the market reaction to his win?
Wouldnt it make sense for the House to not pass any tax cut extensions or spending cut repeals that Reid can get through the Senate? In other words :no more closed room deals?
Take a hard line but dont brag about it in public, just do it. In public talk about how O is in charge of everything.

Having won the election O is free to work with Boehner to do stuff that his lib base opposes like entitlement reform ..as Clinton did.
If this is the path he takes House Republicans could work to make him look like a bipartision success, as with Clinton. I really think this would be a disaster for this country

The Bush blame excuse ended on Os successful election day as O inherits his own accomplishments and so working with him to make him look successful seems self defeating, unless Boeher gets a really sweet deal. Like something O specifically campaigned against and his base absolutely hates.

And stop the Rs public statements that telegraph their punches, like bragging that they wont do stuff that they are forced to cave on later anyway. This was the behavior of delusional losers.

Nothing more can be done through the ballot box. Every year there will be more and more parasites on the rolls. It's over folks. Think about the elections in Cuba. Funny, Castro always got 95% of the vote. Think about elections in the former Soviet Union. The Premier always got 95% of the vote. Think about the elections in Iraq when Sadam was alive and well. He always got 95% of the vote. See where this is going? Tea Party members will be laughed at by the likes of Boehner or other RINOs in Congress. They are all the permanent criminal class. Nothing more, nothing less.

the Democrat “base” is bigger than the Republican “base” because of the press. So running to get the “base” to turn out and not attracting anybody who is not a rank and file conservative.......isn’t going to win certain states where there is no conservative base beyond maybe 15% of registered voters......By picking Paul Ryan, Romney took on the baggage of the Republican congress with its 10% approval rating, stopped being an outsider governor, and ran AS Paul Ryan in the general election. He lost some of the more moderate and anti-war/miltary Republicans and the deficit hawks and turned off independents , who didn’t vote at all because he didn’t have a credible plan to reduce the deficit. And when paying a 14% tax rate is an issue and you are running to reduce your tax rate to ZERO, then you stir up the left wing “base” to vote against you.

Ridiculous. Whatever you're smoking it's clouded your thinking. The GOP is DOA my friend,...and us along with it. What are you going to do? There are NOW more 'takers' than there are 'makers' and it will only get worse. Sky-rocketing birthrates among muslims, hispanics and blacks will overwhelm the welfare system which YOU will PAY for with ever increasing taxes.

How about that new 'Carbon Tax'? How are you going to stop it? Obama can now issue any executive order he wants and there is NO ONE in America who can prevent it.

Guns? If he doesn't attempt to CONFISCATE all guns within the next four years and outlaw their sale as well as the sale of ammunition, I will be very surprised. And he won't need Congress to do it. You think Fast and Furious was just a joke? It had a specific purpose and he will not let it die! Besides, a populace WITHOUT weapons CANNOT overthrow him.

The GOP is dead. They will NEVER ever win a national election again. The mid-term elections will certainly throw the House to the Democrats. Then, he will appoint new Leftist judges to the Supreme Court. He will then control ALL branches of government.

You're all looking at 2016 like everything is going to be normal. I would suggest to you that Obama may well NOT leave office. Forget the Constitution. It too is dead. Emperor Obama! It has a lovely ring to it doesn't it? Give it up. You and the GOP are kaput!

Every cub/boy scout knows ...

Be Prepared.

An entire structure and manual was built on that simple phrase;

Be Prepared.

For what, you might ask

Whatever you can think of, whatever anyone (whom makes sense to you) has said ...

Be Prepared.

Preppers have TONS of useful information.
