Boehner to Obama: "We want you to succeed" (ABC Radio, no link)
ABC Radio News ^ | 11/8/2012 | N/A

On the radio this morning, I heard Boehner say to Obama in a public address: "We want you to succeed." You know who Boehner's trying to contrast himself with, dont you? I knew you did.

Really? He’s basically the only thing standing between us and Obama/Reid and the UN. You want him to sit down and shut up?

I want him to sit down and shut up if this is the tack he's going to take in dealing with Obama.

Boehnhead should be out there throwing down the gauntlet and standing up for REAL American ideals, not reaching out to make deals with the devil.

I have news for you: Republicans ARE NEVER going to be befriended or be anything but PATRONIZED by Democrats in the White House and Congress or by the Pravda-like media. Boner is poised to do nothiong but kiss up to these idiots and until he changes his tone and puts up a fight, YES he should shut up. Democrats got where they are by fighting, not by laying down and crying "Yes, Massa! Please don't whup me, Massa!" As I said elsewhere on here, we should not put up with save-asses or kiss-asses. They fall under the heading of RINO!

Don’t be so hateful that it makes you blind to reality.

Boehner has to appear like he’s willing to working with Democrats or they will portray him to the voters as obstructionist and the cause of us “falling off the fiscal cliff” as Van Hollen was already attempting to do yesterday.

Boner: "We hope you succeed."

Rush: "I hope he fails."

I stand with with Rush.

I agree with that. There are also Obama voters in Ohio who ignored Obama’s war on coal and whose electricity comes mainly from coal. At least West Virginians came to their senses.

IMHO we've probably already crossed the point of no return for collapse.

Maybe it's time for him to succeed. Just get it over with and show the nation what unchecked liberalism does to a nation.

Stalemating and resisting the socialists may only slightly delay the inevitable while providing them cover for their evil ideology by giving them someone else to blame for our demise.

One plus is that we may be closer economically to where the soviets were just before they collapsed. So hopefully unbridled socialism won't last near as long as it did for those poor souls.

We'd certainly have to fight hard to prevent a "Putin" from rising out of the ashes. But I think an advantage Americans have is that they can still remember what freedom and capitalism felt like. I'm fairly confident that after collapse we'd unite for it.

Then, we put out the flames and rebuild.

We want the country to succeed. We want hussein in federal penitentiary for numerous treasonous acts already committed.

1. They will do that regardless of what Boner does
2. Their side will be hurt more by the fall off the cliff than our side.

The best thing for him to do is shut up and wait for the phone to ring. D-senators will be begging for a compromise. If they don't offer enough, then sit back and wait for the cliff.

IMHO we've probably already crossed the point of no return for collapse.

Not just your opinion, it's a fact. The only question is whether we default, hyperinflate, cut the entitlements or raise middle class taxes a lot (the only source of big money). My guess is that the pols will punt and let Bernanke buy the debt they create. The resultant inflation will take a few years to really kick in and they figure they'll have another plan by then or retire.

The best way to preclude death by inflation (for the rest of us) is to force the issue early. Make them go over the cliff and slash defense and other expenses and raise taxes. The backlash on the Dems will be huge and they will be ready to make a deal that can result in economic growth.

If conservatives can’t find a way to unite and work together then we are truly lost.

Too many conservatives insist politicians exactly mirror their own personal positions or they threaten to vote 3rd party.

Bonehead could drop his pants and let Berry have his way with him.

They would still say he’s refusing to work with them.

It does not matter what he does. They will paint him as an obstructionist.

Since that is what they are gone to do. You might as well be one.

Let it go until spring, then attach a repeal of Obamacare to any bill.

Dems do go along, then you are looking at people in the south not being able to pay for cooling during the summer.

Hit the dems with the bill again in the fall, second go round of no heat for the north.

Sooner or later Obama voters will get the message.

I just saw this on a Twitter Feed

"Paul Ryan should push into the Speaker of the House fray. Boehner should realize he's no shoe in"

If Obama succeeds then America fails.

I despise Boehner.

If he remains speaker the Republic is finished.

“Their side will be hurt more by the fall off the cliff than our side.”

Won’t hurt them for a second with their base. Most of them are too stoned or stupid to do anything except what they are told.

He needs to say that. But in my heart, I want him to fail and his memory be cursed by generations of Americans.

You are correct. The democrats misread this election as a mandate to drive us of the cliff. It was more akin to picking the winner of American Idol. The ignorants voted Obama because he’s black and they want to stick it to ‘the Man’. He’s cool! The bulk of the Obama voters are totally clueless about the severity of our fiscal situation and have no idea how inept a leader Obama is.

Boehner needs pressure from us, but he also needs support. Reid has no rock star appeal, he is widely despised. Boehner is smart to give Obama, Reid and Van Hollen enough rope to hang themselves. They will, as long as they force higher taxes and business-killing regulations. For all that this election was a disaster for the presidency and senate, it was a good result for the House, and we need to give Boehner some backbone to avoid another debacle like the 2010 Lame Duck session. If he holds, good. If he folds, then it’s time for Speaker Ryan.
