“That’s why Col Allen West won in a landslide. Oh wait... Maybe he just wasn’t conservative enough.”

Redistricting changed the lines and put him in a Democrat district.

Yeah, I agree.. lots of (previously unseen) projection too... some were already known though.
How many more do you think will surface (not counting the new ones... less than a year old here)?

Romney could not energize his government provided health care, subsidized homosexual sex, and abortion base better than the Kenyan Marxist could.

Lesson learned...

PS: The RINO GOP was more concerned with being nice to leftists than they were with actually winning the election -this evidenced with their abandoning and backstabbing of conservative candidates targeted and disparaged by the leftists. Get the hell outta here RINOs -this is conservative country!

“The first thing that needs to be done to save conservatism in America is to re-educate about two million phoney baloney “conservative” traitors who colluded with the obama campaign.”

I am one of your “phoney baloney “conservative” traitors...”
I don’t want your re-education - I’ll stay a conservative and you can stay a lousy liberal buzzard.

Next time, when the abortion issue is raised, the Republican candidate can simply turn it around on the questioner with “Do you seriously think there’s going to be a supreme court challenge to Roe V Wade in the next 4 or 8 years? Let’s talk about issues that we as a country are actually going to be facing.” And watch the questioner get that ‘oh, crap, I just got owned’ look on their face.

This went deeper than abortion. We needed to dig into some key democratic demographic groups. Since blacks, faggots, and mexicans were pretty much out of the question, women and especially single women would have been the best place to do that but we picked the wrong candidates for the job. They weren’t just wrong, they were exactly what we didn’t want. Instead of appealing to this group, we attacked them and their subsequent support for Obama was anything but surprising. aside from that, these guys tainted every republican running with their nuttiness. As soon as Akin opened his mouth, I knew it was over for us. We had it all sewed up and then he revealed himself to the American people.I also want to say, Ohio should have picked Donna Glisman over Josh Mandel for the same reason but they didn’t because some folks just haven’t figured out that women can vote in America. I’m not even interested in spending any more of my time and energy caring.

Obama got about nine million fewer votes than he did in 2008. Ronmey got over two million fewer votes tham McCain did in 2008. The margin of victory in 2012 was provided to Obama by the republicans who stayed home instead of coming out for Romney.

I'm sure at least a little of that happened, but is there any polling or research yet to prove just how much of it happened? Though there were a few holdouts, most of us here, on a very conservative website, including myself, voted for Romney, and probably with more of a favorable feeling about him than we had back before the Convention.

My wife and I were approached by a Johnson campaign worker (wearing 2 Ron Paul buttons and a Tea Party jacket) in a grocery store parking lot, last Sunday. Her theme, besides Johnson, "they" are trying to poison us with aerosols, and some Libertarian talking points, was "the lesser of two evils is still evil". I don't know all of the states Johnson ran in, but a percent or two in certain states could have made a difference, especially if added to other factors.

My "most likely" theory, posted elsewhere and also submitted to the NEWT himself, at his website*, is that maybe 11 million Obama voters in 2008 did not show up for 2012. Unfortunately, perhaps 2 million "leaning Romney" voters who are in trouble (laid off, barely making it on SS, etc.) ultimately went with who they thought would get them through the next several months, rather than the man who'd most likely generate a decent job for them in a couple years, or put SS or Medicare on a sound basis down the line. I don't think it is any accident that "the fiscal cliff" and the coming end of extended unemployment benefits were suddenly brought up by the media right in the closing days of the campaign, just as Obama got his best shot in to look like "Mr. I Care 4 You".

*I hope Newt has time to read e-mails these days, or he has staff left to forward them. It seems like a longshot, but I am truly curious... That last is sort of like a Titantic survivor clinging to a small chunk of iceberg - you don't drown right away, but the cold gets you faster than it otherwise would. (Well, ok, it's only a so-so analogy.)

Anecdotally, there were also a lot of "they both suck" opinions around, and I think those voters either sat out, or their vote was split. I really don't think a lot of those voters truly realize just how bad the long term economic outlook appears, especially if energy development is squelched.

This is all just speculation - what is needed is in depth data.

The tea party can nominate anyone they want but the folks voting in the primary are the ones who will ultimately decide who goes on the presidential ballot......

Not inviting Sarah Palin to speak at the RNC was a big screw up also, she could have rallied everyone together.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That was a huge mistake. So huge that it made him lose. Sarah Palin could have been his VP candidate, or even better, she cold have run for the presidency and won.

I deeply resent and dislike the GOP country club RINOs who contributed to the destruction of America by ignoring a populist movement that would have saved it.

America is no more, and it must be reduced to its constituant parts in order to rise again. The nation is
sorely divided, and no longer is it an engine of prosperity , international peace, and liberty.

Welcome to The United States of Zimbabwe, no longer a melting pot , but now a so called cultural mosaic where racism rules.I do not want to live in this type of country that America has become and there are millions who feel the same way.

Watch for a huge exodus of capital followed by those who own it.

I completely agree with this position.

The George W. Bush administration was not a debacle. Only to the liberals was it a debacle. George W. Bush was not going to accept the recriminations, blame and accusations of being Simon Lagree by cutting government programs. He was attempting to force that lucky little job on the craven Democrats. Well, the Democrats weren’t in a shearing mood either. No Republican can cut programs without getting a huge backlash. But Billy Boy cut welfare. So, anyway, with no cuts, the spending just kept going. Now, you are going to have a chicken and egg argument about whether entitlements are a drag on economy or whether a good economy will cause entitlements to decrease, but the real point is, YOU NEED A GOOD ECONOMY, A BUSINESS FRIENDLY ECONOMY.
