Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who came out long ago in favor of his partys nominee Mitt Romneys candidacy for president, apparently upset a lot of people on the conservative side for his embrace of Romneys opponent, President Barack Obama in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. And according to conservative talker Laura Ingraham, it was taken to the point of embarrassing himself.
On her Tuesday radio program, Ingraham, the author of Of Thee I Zing: Americas Cultural Decline, criticized the New Jersey governor for his latest comment expressing his excitement in hearing from Obama supporter and rock star Bruce Springsteen.
Speaking of embarrassing himself, Chris Christie was out there and he was very excited, not because hes voting for Romney, Ingraham said. Hes excited because he got a phone call: not just from the president of these United States, but he got a phone call from Bruce Springsteen.
Ingraham went on to point out that Christie shares a character trait with Obama in that he often talks about things in context of himself.
You know what, Ive just got to say this: He has a lot more in common with Obama than we thought, she said. Its all about Chris Christie. My Jersey Shore, my roller coasters underwater, my hero Bruce Springsteen, I have to pinch myself to go on Air Force One as the son of an Italian immigrant, or whatever he said.
Me, me, me, me, me. And I know hes done a lot of good things for a lot of good people, and there is something about me that does like Chris Christie at times. But I find his behavior in all of this to be really just bizarre at this point.
But she also suggested that these signs point to Christie becoming a Democrat, which she said wouldnt surprise her.
Let me tell you something , Chris Christie it would not surprise me if Chris Christie at some point became a Democrat, Ingraham said. Doesnt surprise me one bit. It really doesnt, in the end.
I think he should change, and he can team up with Charlie Crist for the Christie/Crist ticket.
We could all become Democrats and vote some of these dispicable out of office....the Republicans sure can’t do it!
Funny. My 11 yr old was asking questions about past presidents and she couldn’t remember the name and she said...”you know, the really fat one”....
Teddy Roosevelt?
No, Mom, the one from Arkansas.....
“Your dead to me F(redo)ATSO.”
CC is the prototypical Obama Republican.....they can all come out of the closet now. Karl Rove, Bill O’Relly, Shep Smith, Chris Wallace, etc, etc.
"hurricane Sandy seems to have blown the last large chunks of fleece off of Christy. Bowing & scraping to Obama"
What is particularly appalling to me is the notion that a governor would even feel he needs to grovel in order to get relief from the Federal government. When people are dying and suffering, it should be a no-brainer that a president would help, regardless of what state is in trouble (whether it should be the Federal government's role in the first place is a separate question, of course).
When you feel you have to beg for something that should be given without question, that is when you lose your humanity...
Colin is a racist.
I have always considered Colin Powell to be only nominally a Republican (and of convenience at that), and thought as much even during the Gulf War and his SoS days. Deep down, I think he is actually nothing more or less than a "Colinpowell-ican" or a "Colinpowell-ocrat" depending on who is able to further Colin Powell's ambitions at any given time.
Mr. niteowl77
IMO Colin Powell ad for Obama was the most effective as for either campaign, easily.
A person’s ‘humanity’ is gravely endangered with this president.
The Republican Grover Cleveland was no small man either.
Thankfully, Republicans are not prejudiced against fat men because Cleveland, Roosevelt, and Taft were all honest and decent and always good Presidents and in the case of Roosevelt a great president.
Said exactly this few days ago.....seems Mr. Christie has become too impressed with himself.
Can you please furnish your source for your claim that
“W even voted for Zero!” .
How else will he get to party with Bruce Springsteen?
Fox News this morning.
Why bother. GOP or RAT, there’s no difference.
His Frankie Pentangeli act is worn threadbare. Good riddance.
It's dead, Jim.
Their brand has been defined for them and they went along with it. Don't believe me, just look at the record and come to your own conclusions.
My guess is we're on the ride described/alluded to in The Harbinger and we arrive at our destination in 2015.
Are those hoof beats I hear...
Nope, Jack Booted Thugs.
I just thought it was funny that she considered Bill Clinton to be a fatty.
I’m pretty sure he thought he was a ladies man.
