Business Insider had her down and on the mat with an 8 count. I am very happy that she made it through - wish I could have said the same for Alan West, a true patriot who’s political voice on capitol hill will be missed.

You are right. I sent money to her campaign and I’m in Maryland. We need her that badly in Congress.

To: Arthurio; All

And all the Liberal PhonyCon RINOs who keep pushing for Marco “La Raza” Rubio as President...and say “Conservatism cant win”....well they are wrong

Considering Bachmann has been shunned by the Liberal RINO elite...the win is especially nice. Congrats

I am glad she can return to the House, but her presidential bid was never taken seriously by hardly anyone. It lacked cohesion.

She’s got ties to Rove from way back, and I’m convinced she was bribed by the GOPe to get in as a way to try to keep Palin out. (Until her entry they were publicly complaining that Palin would have too much of an advantage simply by being the only woman in the primary.)

She was looking for national recognition from her supposed presidential bid—never expecting to really compete for the nomination.

YOUR gop has said this morning that they are going to have to win women and minorities over to win any future elections. What are they going to replace me and others with... “SPITBALLS”? I am through with these games. The gop will never support another Conservative... they want us to becomes liberals. I would rather die fighting than surrender.

GOP lost the house and senate in MN.

We’re going to get a whole lot more choo-choo trains here.

We’ll be the Willie Green Wonderland.

YOUR gop

Not mine. I begged FREEPERS here to nominate Santorum, but they wanted Romney and then cheerleaded him all the way to the loss. They even thought he was going to win in a landslide...Oy Vey...

I’m convinced she was bribed by the GOPe to get in as a way to try to keep Palin out.

Incorrect. She got in the race to thwart Pawlenty. Remember, it was her victory at the Iowa straw poll that sent moderate-Tim packing. Palin had zero interest getting involved; that was confirmed when she stepped down from being governor.

That's the sad reality of 2008 - if McCain had not picked her as his V.P. candidate, Palin could have quietly grown for another 4 years. She could have come into the GOP primary with 6 years as governor with superior credentials on energy and reform issues, and would have been able to bludgeon Obama about ObamaCare. Would have had President Palin. Sigh . . .

I think you completely misread Palin, and in this instance, Bachmann as well.

Palin has, yes, been pulled toward making money too and I would have liked to see her tough out her term in Alaska as well, but she clearly was contemplating a run at least into September of 2011. One thing she learned from her time on the trail with McCain was that a family couldn’t make an effective run for national office if they were financially strapped.

My guess is that political realities—including messages from the GOPe and her being way behind in any fund-raising count—actually took a back seat to daughters getting spooked by the harassment of her family at that time.

Delusional! She had no chance at the presidential nomination, strained credulity almost beyond imagine in her campaign, barely wins a fourth term among those who’ve known her best and you think she’d have put Romney over the top?
