The Speaker doesn’t have to be a member of the House.

So you were “offended” by their pro-life positions, not worried about their awkward wording.

That is an interesting pro-abortion position, it is like Mitt’s.

Not just me but by me but by their own base. Ansell they were on the 5 yard line and threw away the ball. Awkward wording, idiocy, a basic mis-understanding of the trauma of rape and how woman feel about it. They damaged the pro-life cause incacubly and deserve to go down in ignominy. May the repubs never nominate men with such tin hears again.

Yep. And the political party -- Republican -- that wastes all its time preaching to the choir attacking Obama, the symptom, instead of doing something constructive and addressing the CAUSE (blatant vote fraud, as per your illustration, combined with a candidate so liberal that he got lower R turnout than McCain), then they will be getting exactly what is to be expected: beaten.

Rush and Levin spent all their time in the past six months barking at the paper boy in the front yard, attacking Obama, while burglars -- liberalism in the form of a statist registered as a Republican -- waltzed in the backdoor and stripped the house.

Obama is a symptom, not a cause. As long as Republicans and their pundits like Rush and Levin ignore blatant organized vote fraud, and liberalism in the Republican party, and focus instead exclusively on useless barking and shreiking at the Democrat Demon du jour, the Republican party will lose, lose, lose, lose.

The problem isn't Obama. The problem is vote fraud, liberalism taking over the Republican party, and complete silence on the part of Republicans as it happens because those same Republicans are so busy barking at the paperboy (Obama) instead of doing their jobs as watchdogs.

Focusing on those two races is a strange thing to focus on when Romney just destroyed the republican ticket and gave Jimmy Carter his rerun victory.

It was the Romney/Rockefeller/Rove wing of the GOP that brought this on the nation, not those two Senate candidates.

I donated to West's campaign and here is the email I received today:

Alfred,

First and foremost, I want to thank you for all that you have done throughout the campaign. Your support has been truly incredible. I'm writing to give you an update on where things stand.

Our race is far from decided and there is no rush to declare an outcome. Ensuring a fair and accurate counting of all ballots is of the utmost importance. There are still thousands of absentee ballots to be counted in Palm Beach County and military and provisional ballots across the district. Given the numerous reports of irregularities at the polls and the chaos surrounding the counting of ballots, it is important that we carefully evaluate the results and investigate the irregularities.

I know how hard you have worked for our campaign and I am grateful to have you standing shoulder to shoulder with me. I want you to know that we will fight to ensure every ballot is counted just as we will continue to fight to ensure our Republic remains exceptional and the future of our children and grandchildren is bright. For 22 years I stood as a watchman on the wall to guard America’s honor, liberty, freedom, and democracy.  Now I will continue my oath of service to guard the integrity of our electoral process.

Steadfast and Loyal,

Allen B. West
