The next campaign just started. I mention the name Sarah Palin.

Too many voters clearly indicated that they want to be fed by the state. Honest work is too much for them. As the economy self-destructs more and more americans fall into that category, whether they like it or not. As the Big Government is getting bigger, public servants vote for more Big Government. The electoral base of Obama and his followers is growing. The conservative electoral base, on the other hand, is shrinking because they don't make them anymore. Every new voter, fresh from school, is a liberal because that's what was taught. Every reader of MSM is getting brainwashed on a daily basis. Normally people used to become conservative as they get older and better understand what in this life is important. But the rate of those conversions is falling; there are 40 and 50 years old people who are convinced that the universal solution to all world's problems is in slaughtering the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Sarah Palin may be a better candidate. But even an ideal candidate, one who appeals to 100% of conservatives, will not win if conservatives themselves comprise only 40% or less of the electorate. Gary Johnson may have gathered 100% of libertarian votes, but that's a drop in the ocean. Conservatives were being marginalized for years, but today they have been marginalized enough to win an election.

I asked, before Romney was overheard talking about the 47%, how many people actually paid income taxes in this country. Total. Not “working age”, not “eligible workers”. Total. I said 40% which would leave 60% paying nothing, income tax wise.

After thinking about it, if you take the children into consideration, who after all pay no income tax, then it’s probably closer to, what, 80%? Now, once again I’m guessing but the point is still there. 20% of the population is paying for 80% of the resident’s of the US. Is this possible, you say? Well sure, it’s possible. But it’s 100% not sustainable. That’s what Romney meant and what he should have said.

I don't think you're wrong. We, as Conservatives, are up against a well-oiled group whose ideology is like a drug to those who willingly accept it. On top of that, I have always said, we are dealing with a group of people who are willing cheat and use thuggery to win--with election results this close, I have no doubt fraud was in play here.

The "best" case scenario thus far for another Zero term, aside from Obamacare, which is bad enough, is a much prolonged inflation; worse case, another great depression; and worst, beyond that, civil/world war.

Actually, I've long stated that we're in a depression right now, given the amount of national debt, average personal debt, poverty, etc. that we have now. But, I digress...

The thing is: We are Americans. There are many of us are still willing to fight for our freedom and values. In fact, I'm strongly considering moving to a state where, if all hell breaks loose, my son and I have a fighting chance!

Cool, I’ll add Honduras to my list. I’m just a certified EMT so I hope that counts for something.

Well, my congressman was as hard core conservative as they come *Joe Walsh* 8th District IL - and he lost, to a freakin loon who used HATE as her driving campaign.

So please, save the speech on blame and IF a candidate is conservative or not - what won this sick election was
1. the negligent media
2. 1/2 the country on the dole
3. the damn open borders - check the numbers

Hate the Gop all you want, but do yourself a favor and take into consideration all the factors at play here.

If you want companies to bring American jobs back, I think we need to get liberal/socialist politicians out of office first, and allow the free market and private sector to work. Because the Feds have already taken over (or over-regulated) too many industries and are sucking the life out of the private sector, we're at the cusp of looking like (dare I say it?) VENEZUELA, or worse, CHINA or RUSSIA! Besides, it's not only that should we buy American, we should Buy Conservative whenever possible.

Which reminds me: Wish I had a Chic-Fil-A in my state. :(

the amt of fraudulent voting in this country IS the answer....but I do believe we'll never see another real election in our lifetimes...

plus, its like the people that follow these stupid kardashians....what kind of shallow minded person follows this junk....we have so many of these people...mostly the younger stupid generation...

the fight is over...for now...it'll take a world war with a draft of their skinny little butts to get them thinking again....

The MEDIA won, they have been covering for the dictator and they won this election for him once again.

The MSM wont be around for much longer. They have been dropping like flies lately (bankruptcy) and the economy is not improving anytime soon.

“I’d like to move overseas somewhere. Suggestions, anyone?”

While I understand where you are coming from, just think if your “solution” won the day when the British decided to try and keep us from becoming an independent nation. I am sorry though, that I may not live to see us finally hit bottom and be forced into a recovery. And I am glad that I have been able to live my life in post WWII America. It was wonderful, too bad most don’t remember just how good it was!

I don’t want to waste my life waiting for the day when the US returns to its sense—if that day ever comes. I have no obligation to this place. As far as I’m concerned, America left me.

Thing is, I’m a 28 year old male with no dependents and little opportunity in this country, and I need somewhere I can actually thrive, be inspired, and do some interesting things with my life beyond the kind of basic survival I’ve been reduced to for the past few years.

Poland, ive had my eyes set there for years. Its a very Christian nation with strong family values. Much like the USA in 1960.

I am 72. I have a daughter who is 28. Unlike her, you are an ungrateful twit. Godspeed in leaving this country. My parents generation sacraficed so a jerk like you can cry about his “sorry lot” in life. Go contemplate your navel on some desert island. We won’t miss you in the least.

I admire and appreciate what better generations of Americans did to build this nation, but what’s the point of sticking around on a sinking ship going nowhere?

The democrats have cheating down to an absolute science. That is why they were so confident that they would win. Nobody actually knows what the real numbers are in any election, nor to what fantastic extent that cheating goes on. There aren’t any checks and balances to catch or even help stay cheating. They know that and love to cheat right under our noses. They think it is their duty to vote as many times as they possibly can.

You have a point there. Even the UN observers were shocked by how unregulated our voting process is here in the US.

Majority of the people get thier news from Pravda. They will be around. They won this election by covering the Dictators rear end. Besides it won’t really matter since all news will be filtered and those not cooperating will be shut down.

Gave you your chance ~ yet I clearly laid out the work the successful Republican would need to be prepared to do.

Apparently no one believed that. So they lost. Notice that Obama even lost his edge in this one ~ his people didn't listen either.

Nobody really wanted these guys
