Romney predicts victory, turns introspective

ABOARD ROMNEY'S CAMPAIGN PLANE — Mitt Romney said Tuesday he is intellectually and emotionally convinced he will win the White House, and has penned an 1,118-word victory speech he hopes to unveil on election night.

Sharing the confidence that his campaign team has publicly exuded for weeks, despite polls showing he has an uphill climb to clinch key battleground states, the Republican nominee said he turned introspective on his final swing of an 18-month campaign.

"Intellectually I felt that we're going to win this, and I've felt that for some time," Romney said in his first comments to reporters aboard his campaign plane in more than a month.

"I just finished writing a victory speech, it's about 1,118 words, and I'm sure it will change before I finish because I haven't passed it around to my family and friends and advisers to get their reaction."

Locked in a tight race with President Barack Obama, Romney took an 11th-hour trip Tuesday to must-win Ohio, as well as Democrat-leaning Pennsylvania, where he said he was startled to see hundreds of supporters cheering him on near the airport.

"Emotionally, just getting off the plane and seeing those people standing there, we didn't tell them we were coming, we didn't notify them when we'd arrive, just seeing people there, cheering as they were, connected emotionally with me," Romney said.

"I not only think we're going to win intellectually but I feel it as well."

-- I can't find my tolulene either! HEEEEEEEELLLLPPPPP!! --

Use the acetone (nail polish remover), PAM spray, or, in a pinch, gasoline.

Ah God Bless her, Sarah.

I lost my grandma in 2009 to a car accident. She was a Michigan lady, fierce, fierce republican. She did not have kind words to say about this president. I mean she would make me blush on the subject of him from time to time.

She’s voting from Heaven today, and those votes count double!

I had a dog once, that loved the smell of gasoline. Couldn't keep him away.

Was cleaning the lawnmower using a pan of gasoline, went in the house to fetch a drink, came out and caught the dog lapping up the fuel. Shooed him away.

A few minutes later, he starts running around the yard like a nut was loose or something. Did that for about 5 minutes, then just keeled over.

I just heard on the radio an excerpt from the CNN exit poll. 10% of Tea Party members voted for Obama. There is absolutely NO WAY that could ever happen. What is more likely is that a lot of Romney voters walked right by the pollsters when they finished their voting.
By law, the exit pollsters have to identify themselves and and they ask a lot of in depth questions. It is far more likely that a conservative will ignore these people and go to work whereas a libbie would find the opportinity to impart their wisdom irresistable. Add the potential for beling labelled a racist for not voting for obama and lickety split you got yourself a slanted result.
