Change in voters pamphlet
IF I had seen todays pamphlet eariler, I would have voted differently on one local issue.
What do I do? Thank you.
This is actually from Mrs. Hodar aka zlala
You live with it. Your ballot been cast and you don’t get a do-over.
Those with “Revised” on the top front are fakes. Saw it on the news, can’t recall if it was local or national.
And that’s why you don’t vote early unless you have to. Things change.
..nothing you can do,no Mulligan here, but what I would do is find out who was responsible for the snafu and tell them you’ll remember it next time. Get a few hundred signatures all saying the same thing.
A problem created by early voting. Register Dem next time so you can vote often to correct any errors on the 1st vote. (if you try this as a R you will get arrested)
Hey I had a question about a state amendment. This seems like a good place as any since I haven’t been able to get it answered. South Carolina has always elected the Governor and Lieutenant governor seperately. They’re voting on having the Governor pick the LG and we won’t vote seperately. What I’m confused with is they’re deleting the line from the constitution that the LG would be a tie breaker for the state senate. So who would be the tie breaker? Thanks in advance!
Amendment 1 Beginning with the general election of 2018, must Section 8 of Article IV of the Constitution of
this State be amended to provide that the Lieutenant Governor must be elected jointly with the Governor in a manner
prescribed by law; and upon the joint election to add Section 37 to Article III of the Constitution of this State to
provide that the Senate shall elect from among the members thereof a President to preside over the Senate and to
perform other duties as provided by law; to delete Sections 9 and 10 of Article IV of the Constitution of this State
containing inconsistent provisions providing that the Lieutenant Governor is President of the Senate, ex officio, and
while presiding in the Senate, has no vote, unless the Senate is equally divided; to amend Section 11 to provide that
the Governor shall fill a vacancy in the Office of Lieutenant Governor by appointing a successor with the advice and
consent of the Senate; and to amend Section 12 of Article IV of the Constitution of this State to conform appropriate
references?
Explanation A ‘Yes’ vote will make it necessary, from 2018 onward, for the Governor and Lieutenant Governor to
run for and be elected to office jointly (on the same ticket). As a result, the Lieutenant Governor will no longer
preside over the Senate and the Senate will elect their presiding officer from within the Senate body.
This is prime example for voting on election DAY !!! only
1) I'm with frankenmonkey, the "Revised" is probably faked. It's a pretty universal rule that language cannot be changed once there are official ballots in process (starting with mailing it to you).
2) I'm also with al baby (even if he's a Major League Crank), this is a good reason to Vote On Election Day!

If you're suspect of info, you can always call the local GOP office. I know this is after the fact, in your case.
Respectfully you can just go screw yourself
Respectfully accepted (Now I know how it feels to be insulted by Don Rickles).
