Well, this is it. Two days till we know who wins. Two days till we know in which direction our country will travel toward liberty and a constitutionally limited government, or further down the rabbit hole of a new normal where the president does an end zone dance on an uptick in the unemployment rate as if hed cured cancer. It will be either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama.
Personally, I prefer a nation where the president doesnt sit fecklessly weighing options during a 7-hour attack on Americans overseas and turns a deaf ear to cries for help from people representing him in a hostile land. I choose to vote for leadership that isnt afraid to stand up and call terrorism what it is, doesnt want to be loved by our enemies and would never, ever tell heroes to stand down in the face of tyranny.
I am going to vote against four more years of an economy where the only drop in the unemployment rate has come because so many of my fellow Americans gave up hope of finding work. I choose a growing economy where risk-takers are rewarded, not punished, and jealously is not fostered from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
I reject a government that would sell weapons to drug cartels and not track them. I choose to support a government that doesnt attempt to wipe the blood of Brian Terry, Jaime Zapata and hundreds of innocent Mexicans off their hands on a bogus claim of Executive Privilege.
I care too much about the nations future to support a president who would look at almost $6 trillion in new debt over four years and think more spending is the only way to unbury us from this mess. I choose fiscal sanity and a government that realizes it is not the soil in which an economy grows, but the clouds all too often obscuring the sun and hindering that growth Im going for clear skies.
I will not support anyone who seeks to fundamentally transform the nation that did more to spread liberty and opportunity than any other in world history. I will vote to turn back from the edge of failed philosophies that have produced the greatest suffering and slaughters human beings have ever known.
I refuse to fall in line behind a political party that looks at a woman as nothing more than her genitals, belittling her mind with offers of free birth control as if shes nothing more than a constantly ovulating subway turnstile. I will support a party that supports an individuals right of self-determination and doesnt claim to know anything about a person based upon the position of the toilet seat when they urinate.
I will never, ever support a party that sees skin color as a determining factor in thought, political or otherwise, but stands idly by in passive support when those who defy their bigotry are attacked. I will stand forever with a party that offers a pathway to anywhere individuals wish to try to go, without regard to pigment, with the only guarantee of success being an individuals abilities and character.
And I will oppose the medias choice, they are not on my side. I will support the candidate who the mere thought of winning will turn the vile MSNBCs election night coverage into a viewing of the movie Scanners.
With these points in mind, I will proudly walk into my polling place Tuesday and cast a vote equally against Barack Obama and for Mitt Romney for President. And I urge you to do the same.
More than that, I ask you to not do so alone. No matter where you live a red, blue or swing state bring at least two like-minded people with you. Even if theyre registered in a different precinct, drive them there. The stakes are too high to simply trust it will be done. We have to ensure it.
Mitt Romney has done and will continue to do all he can. But this fight is not just his; it is all of ours.
No matter what happens, the consequences will not be different for you based on how you voted. If you dont do all you can to win, if you dont end the day with an empty tank of personal energy and the pride that can come only from giving your all well, you can figure that out.
Future generations will look back on this election either as the moment we stood up for individual liberty or the line at which stories of medical care slipped into tales of bureaucratic nightmares. Because if Republicans not only dont take the White House, but the Senate too, we will cease to be who was have always been, who we are, and be fundamentally transformed into something from which return will be nearly impossible.
Billions of dollars spent, millions of man-hours burned, thousands of hands shaken, hundreds of speeches given
and it all comes down to you. What are you going to do?
Is there going to be an official prediction thread?

I’m still going with 54/46 R/O.
What is interesting is that if all these polls that show dead even end up being off 8 points, what does that indicate?
We should get polls in some cycles that overestimate Republican turnout and other cycles, underestime. When was the last time the former happened?
Only in 2008 did the underestimation of Republican turnout in polling become true. The other cycles, not so much. When are we going to see overestimation of Republicans in polls to even the track record?
OK, so the question is why?
I’d say 52.5 R-46 0-(1.5-other)
I say Romney gets 296 EV’s (at least)
My prediction is spelled out here for each battleground state:

I’ll post it on FR -in full/no excerpts- tomorrow, noon-ish or whenever I wake up amidst Frito-fumes.
Well then... if it is all up to ME... CONGRATULATIONS PRESIDENT MITT ROMNEY AND VICE PRESIDENT PAUL RYAN!
