A couple of days ago, the liberals in the media were so impressed at Obama’s response to this storm. Some compared to Bush and his alleged bungled response to Katrina.

Will the liberal media now focus on all of the problems which have come to light since Obama’s photo ops with Chris Christie????? Or will they ignore the story????

I was watching CNN earlier, and there was not a word about all of this. Then I went to Fox, and Fox was giving major coverage to the problems caused by Sandy. Is there media bias? You be the judge.

Media bias is not only liberal spin on things. Media bias is seen in the stories they push, vs. the stories they decide to ignore.

They still need electricity to pump it, and the unions have seen to it that it will be later rather than sooner.

Allowing prices to move up would draw in all the gas they need.

I have two ideas!

1) Completely shut down FEMA. Fire all employees and complete abolish it.

2) Contract with Wall Mart to formulate ration disaster relief plans and let them implement and supervise all disaster relief.

I bet Wall Mart employees could figure out how to get water, baby formula, diapers, blankets, food, gas, and generators to those who need it. And...Get the power on in, debris removed, cellars pumped, city services restored, and insurance forms filled out record time.

Well, maybe the military should help out with the water situation as well since FEMA won’t have any until Monday at the soonest and then when they get it, they have no idea how to get it distributed.

The military really should be using this excess fuel to deliver ballots to the military personnel overseas.

Semi tankers typically hold 8,000-9,000 gals, not 12 million each. Something’s wrong with someone’s math.

Re: International ships assisting with the Gulf Oil ‘Spill’ and 0bama’s REFUSAL of said assistance:

“Djou, June 23: It’s important that we take help from whomever and wherever they’re willing to offer it. … So why are we not waiving the Jones Act to allow international help to come in? … Why we’re not waiving it here … is baffling.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, both Republicans, have also claimed that the Jones Act, which was temporarily lifted by President Bush after Hurricane Katrina, is now standing in the way of foreign vessels bringing assistance to the United States. They are both incorrect. Palin stated this in an interview with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren:

Palin, June 11: For one, there needs to be a waiving of the Jones Act so that we could have had many, many days ago, weeks ago, some help with skimmers from elsewhere, besides just U.S. flagships, come over and help in this tragedy. And that order needs to be given to [Coast Guard] Admiral [Thad] Allen right now. It’s amazing to me and to so many others that though President Bush had been able to waive Jones Act provisions for Katrina, President Obama hasn’t thought to do that yet? And yet surely, that has been suggested by those experts around him.”

This gas delivery is a photo-op & that’s it. There are 6+ hour lines for gas around here - people are now lining up at any station that is known to have power, regardless of whether they have fuel, and waiting till they get a delivery. This “free gov’mint gas” is at 6 locations, and the lines will be miles long. It doesn’t help the vast majority of people who need gas because the affected area is so large & most people don’t have the gas to REACH those 6 locations. Plus, there’s no need for it to be free - they could sell it at cost, if necessary, but why free? The better approach would be to get generators to the stations that have gas but no power - that’s where the problem is. But their goal isn’t solving the problem in the first place. It’s just the photo op, which is exactly what the MSM will deliver. I’m just totally disgusted at this point.

(I’m fortunate - I have power, I can telecommute & I’m just staying put until the situation is straightened out. But my husband needs gas for his job, and he’s currently operating on fumes.)

“...trucks to deliver 12 million gallons each of gasoline and diesel fuel...”

Maybe I mis-read that. 12 million gals each of gas & diesel? Ok, if 24,000,000 gals divided by largest avail 9,000 gal tanker trucks = many more than hundreds. 1,667 trucks.

Okay, I’m picking nits... It’s Saturday, farm chores are done and I’m bored.

Already blown up in their faces... only for first responders until cuomo the pious says otherwise. How long until some angry parasite has to be killed by a soldier doing his duty... not long.

Since the military is not unionized, their help will likely be rejected.

They better check for military union membership.

Almost every other government employee is a union thug, why not the military?
