(Here’s a similar example where all of the anti-Obama voters can proceed to come into this thread and ‘lecture’ Mass voters to vote for the ‘lesser of two evils’ — to vote ‘anti-Dem’ — how they would vote for the local sewer system if that would only rid the world of Dems...never mind that it winds up endorsing slime balls and teaching the next generations to embrace them...Why, eventually, upon Obama losing this race...he could switch parties and then be “more conservative” than the Dem he could run against in 2020...and then we’d have the anti-Obama FR posters lecturing us all to be pro-Obama in 2020!)

Too little, too late.

I would never give a red cent to an organization, just to specific candidates.

If I had a red cent, of course

By the way, John Tierney, the incumbent, has a 0 American Conservative Union rating, along with Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank. He gave GWB fits about the Iraq War and is a staunch opponent of missile defense funding. How much worse can the GOP guy be? The hardest part is turfing the long-term (8-term, in Tierney's case) incumbent. Once that's accomplished, it's a lot easier to go after his successors or primary GOP successors who don't toe the line. Tierney's district will never be very conservative - he beat his opponent by 14% during the watershed 2010 elections, so the GOP guy who's looking like a winner may be the best we can do in that seat.

I know what radical homosexual activists vote like and what policies they enact. I also know that they warp everything around them through the prism of their sexuality. If you can name a gay pol that has not, I will stand corrected. If you cannot, then why on earth empower one?

Far better men than I (The founding fathers) had a lot to say about embracing the enemy. Ronaldus himself talked about a party standing for something and not embracing the ideals of the opposition.

They are wrong, or people who vote for liberals are wrong. One or the other. They cannot logically all be correct.

maybe. GOTV is critical on tues. there's only so much we can do from out of state for him. as far as groups, agree in general but if you check out their list of endorsements, i think you'll like what you see. tancredo is a pretty good guy. and i gave individually to everyone on his list, except mack (FL), before i saw his list. for me, his list is as good as demint's.

The point I was making is that what we get from this GOP guy can't be any worse than what we got from Tierney. There's no compromising of principles involved. Did we compromise our principles when we allied with Stalin to fight Hitler? No - we had some goals in common, and we worked together to accomplish them. We want to turf Tierney and so does this new guy. If he turns out to be a problem, we can primary him and run a Republican for this seat the next time around.

If he replaces a liberal Democrat, that’s fine with me.

Exactly!

Based on a cursory view of lawn signs driving through the area, I suspect that will be the outcome.

RINO's from Massholeachusetts are about the best we can expect (at least the 2010 census cut the number to nine).

Radical leftist flamer is not a RINO

I view this new guy as a placeholder. If Tierney survives this challenge, he'll probably die in office, drooling and senile. If the new guy works out, we support him and he goes on to serve for as long as he can win elections, with GOP support. If he doesn't toe the line, we primary him and run against him if he switches parties. It's a lot easier to displace a 1-term incumbent than an 8-term incumbent like Tierney.

Irrelevant!

You don't know how legislative bodies are organized, do you?

Even if Tisei's views on policy were identical to Tierney's, it would still be preferable to have Tisei in the seat, since he is going to caucus with the GOP. That has impact on who the Speaker is and how the committees are organized. All of which has impact on What Is to Be Done!

Yup. Just like what happened with Bohner, Lord Lindsay, McCain and McConnell.

I’m so glad the voters primaried them. They held their feet to the fire!

And the world is a more conservative place. Except none of that EVER happens and thinking it will is a delusional fantasy. Do you believe, can you sit here and say with a straight face that anyone will primary a gay Repub in a liberal state?

No, there will just be more excuses about how “well it’s a lib state so what can we do?”

One more question.

When the gay Repub threatens to cacus with the Dems or flip on votes unless the GOP adopts his homosexual themed bills, what will you say then?

Because that’s what they do.

Yes. I live in the district and will vote for Tierney to get the corrupt lib Tierney out. Tisei is leading in the polls.
There is much enthusiasm for him. I believe Tisei has been endorsed by Salem News, both Boston papers etc (The ultra lib Boston Phoenix endorses Tierney so if you’re with John,
here’s a publication you may enjoy:

http://www.thephoenix.com

Signs all over the place for Tisei and the ones for Tierney are probably teachers, hacks, union folks.
