Revisions to the way payroll data firm ADP counts private sector job creation have resulted in a sharp drop in the September employment count.ADP's new calculations put the monthly job creation at just 88,2000, down from the 162,000 the firm originally reported earlier this month.
The firm recently has entered into a partnership with Moody's Analytics that will change the way the private payroll count is calculated.
ADP will announce its October count on Thursday, with the Labor Department to follow on Friday.
ADP is expected to announce a further revision to the September count along with its October totals.
In announcing the partnership Oct. 24, the two firms said the partnership will help align the private sector job count with the Labor numbers.
At the same time, the new reports will provide a more detailed breakdown of the numbers while expanding the number of businesses that participate.
ADP occasionally has come under criticism for releasing data that is often widely disparate with the government's final count.

Nothing to see here.
The economy is booming. Just need four more years to make sure it continues to boom.
Just wait for Friday.
We are going to start to see all of the Christmas hiring numbers.
The original lies were not even doubt the revised lies. That’s unexpectedly close to the truth. I doubt that they will restrain themselves that much with this week’s numbers.
Sorry to be a pest but what exactly does this article mean for Friday’s numbers?
TIA
Rush is talking about this..
No problem. The regime will “uncover” an additional 800K new “jobs” to drive the unemployment number down to 7.5%.
How any sane, objective American voter can vote for the America destroyer, Barack Hussein Obama defies understanding and explanation!!! Morons & Traitors!!!
If I understood Rush when he mentioned it....they were caught cooking the books.
okay so the Friday numbers will be cooked or no?
Sorry I don’t even begin to get these numbers.
:(
I think the wrong party is being criticized.
BTTT
Wow, they inflated the estimate THAT much?
Sure, Obama’s gonna do to other businesses what he’s done to the auto industry. Can’t wait.
According to FOX business alalyists, the new jobs just sort of "appeared", but nothing was showing up in the payroll records. Apparently, all these new workers must have been volunteers - doing nothing - and doing it for free.
Will CNBC be nice enough to invite Jack Welch on...?
Much to the mainstream media’s chagrin he did say the September jobs number were rigged.
Do you think someone at CNBC will have the honor to follow up now?

geee, you’d think there’d be a burst of pumpkin picker jobs .. hmmm..
Blamo!
But, just like last month’s jobs numbers, which were suppressed and I think they are being rolled in over the weeks of Oct., they will show a Yooge gain /s and the overall unemployment will drop to an amazing 7.2%.
I’m guessing of course but, it won’t surprise me that we hear the numbers from Mid-Atlantic states just weren’t able to be submitted on time.
And all the layoffs from Sandy
