Black and Hispanic Christians Will Put Romney Ahead!

After much deliberation, I have decided to vote for Mitt Romney. My reasoning is based upon both economics and moral principles. I am thankful for the ground-breaking achievement our nation experienced by electing our first black president. Collectively, we are a creating a post racial America. If we are serious about delivering our nation from her original sin of “racism,” we will have to hold President Obama accountable for his abandonment of foundational moral values and his failed economic policies. We cannot accept his blame-game excuses as the reason for our increasing national woes.

If a white politician had allowed black unemployment to hang at 14 percent, compared to 8 percent unemployment overall; we would not accept such a poor performance. Even educated blacks with bachelor’s degrees and above are unemployed at 50 percent higher rates than their mainstream counterparts.

Congressman Allen West makes a persuasive case for blacks to reject the economic policies of the president. He states: “Since 2007, black median household income has declined by 11 percent — the largest decline of all major racial and ethnic groups...In 2011, the poverty rate among black Americans was 27.5 percent. The poverty rate among blacks living in families headed by women is 41 percent.”

West’s figures are disheartening, but President Obama’s critics are not just black conservatives. Liberal blacks also see the president as unaccountable or unapproachable on the question of his commitment to the poor. The Poverty Tour of Cornell West and Tavis Smiley show that the president has been an “outspoken” advocate for the poor - without substance or follow through.

Bible believers understand that repeatedly through out the scriptures God’s disapproval of a nation’s spiritual condition caused Him to lift his blessings from that nation - creating economic recession and national security problems. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says clearly, “If my people called by my name will humble themselves and pray, I will hear......”

What we decide in this election will determine what kind of nation we are during the next few decades. President Obama has become a personality akin to the biblical figure “Ishmael” for the African-American community instead of the “child of promise” we had hoped for. In a nutshell, he has attempted to create a new, unbiblical standard of social justice that promotes abortion, same-sex marriage, a distrust of Israel, and a diminishing of religious liberties.

Christians cannot allow government to replace God. Christians cannot create a humanistic form of social justice which ignores God’s moral laws. (Please view my video “4 Reasons I Cannot Vote for Barack Obama” for a more detailed biblically based snap shot of where we are spiritually - http://www.thetruthinblackandwhite.com/Media_Library/). Neither can we rationalize away our responsibilities by talking about “civil marriage vs biblical marriage”. Staying at home or voting for Barack Obama makes minority Christians accomplices to the president’s moral agenda.

Will we ever have another black president? Have faith friends! More than a brown skinned messiah, we need to pray for a true social deliverer with a biblically compatible outlook who truly understands the nuances of the African-American and Hispanic challenges in our nation. In the scriptures, Abraham tried to rush Jehovah’s plan by having a child (Ishmael) by Sarah’s maid. Despite the fact that the child’s name means “God will listen”- He did not. Although the child was blessed in measure, he never received the full favor of God (Gen17:18). He was born of the right father (Abraham) but did not have correct prophetic lineage (Sarah). Similarly, the first black president was not truly born of prophetic lineage of black community - sharing its morality and biblical faithfulness.

Last May, when the president announced his evolution towards advocacy of same-sex marriage, he crossed “a bridge too far” for many devoted black Christians. Instead of acknowledging that we have made a mistake, many Americans of all races decided to ignore the glaring worldview gap between them and the president. In fact, disappointed people in the black community have been barraged with the following reasons to vote for a second term for President Obama:

1.) You can’t let a brother fail (The fact is - he has failed us).

2.) I will not vote for a Mormon (My view my very short video entitled 4 Reasons Why I will Vote For Mitt Romney - http://www.thetruthinblackandwhite.com/Media_Library/).

3.) If he fails, whites will think that we all are incompetent (Having executed one of the most flawless election campaigns in American history, incompetence is not his primary problem. His ideological agenda is our challenge).

4.) He cannot cater to blacks because he is president of the entire nation (Yet he finds time to champion gay marriage and a job-losing green agenda).

5.) He really does not believe what he said about gay marriage (Yet he was in Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years whose denomination ordained homosexual ministers and conducted same-sex commitment services).

6.) The nation is still very much against him because of race (Anti-Obama racism exists but will not determine his political future. The fact is that an overwhelming majority of his supporters are white)

We must vote Grace Not Race in 2012! Vote God - Vote Vertical!

You know, all the early voting talk tends to assume that the Dem votes being cast are actually going for Obama.

Yet there are bound to be a lot of disaffected 2008 Obama voters out there who are registered as Dems, but who are going to vote for Romney instead.

When you combine that with the fact that Romney is apparently holding his own in the early vote, if I were a Dem I’d be very concerned.

while I can appreciate the author for NOT voting for Obama, I would caution everyone that the author’s vote might not be be for the right reasons FOR Romney; that the author may be expecting that Romney, as president alone or even with Congress can, directly benefit “blacks and hispanics” in ways the author might hope, and

the biggest problem as regards that hope, and for us, is convincing “the flock” of formerly Liberal supporting blacks and hispanics that it - low minority economic standing - was not so much the fault any particular Liberal candidate or office holder - they did not fail - it is their Liberal policies and Liberal thinking that failed, and the biggest part of that failure is its convincing voters that the government is their Messiah and all that is needed is to give that Messiah more power and more of their Liberty

the biggest failure in all of that is the failure to understand that every ounce of government constitutes a taking, of one sort, of one dimension or another and the more people expect of it the more it will take, including more of your Liberty

if the author does not understand that, then his vote for a GOP president may be short-lived

because the best that the GOP collectively can do for the economy - and jobs for anyone - is not in adjusting and improving on what the government CAN DO, but in getting the government out of doing many of the things it is doing

Re: “Black and Hispanic Christians Will Put Romney Ahead!”

That’ll be the day.

The Wall Street Journal editorial page has been pumping this same dry well for the last 20 years.

Namely, that Black and Hispanic Christians would be “natural Conservatives” if only the Republican Party would support special privileges like Affirmative Action quotas and “Open Borders” immigration.

Bunk...

Blacks will vote 90% for the Demo Party in 2012.

Non-Cuban Hispanics will vote 70% for the Demo Party in 2012.

If we are serious about delivering our nation from her original sin of “racism,” we will have to hold President Obama accountable...

Christ gave Blacks and Whites the perscription of healing the “original sin” of Democrat Party slavery and segregation. Whites (in the majority) repented. Black leaders refused to forgive.

Whites fought a civil war over it and they even permitted Blacks trillions of dollars in private and public welfare programs in an effort to appease their leaders to help blacks recover. After this insult and that insult; this demand and that demand, it became clear, the ultimate race goal was that whites surrender their constitutional rights in the name of black revenge. It’s never enough. The hate never stops because black race shake-down is a profitable industry and profession now.

Instead of forgiving, some Black socialists, pretending to be Christians, decided they could be racists, to get even. Forgiveness is Uncle Tom. Acting evil is better than acting “boring” whitey. Pursuing generational tribal hatred and revenge against America and whites has nothing to do with the God of Christians. It’s pooping in your own nest.

At least one Reverend smells the mess. Hating and resenting whitey is one thing. Being involved in an ideology of pure evil is another. The Sodomites should never have banned God so overtly and directly.
