You know, all the early voting talk tends to assume that the Dem votes being cast are actually going for Obama.

Yet there are bound to be a lot of disaffected 2008 Obama voters out there who are registered as Dems, but who are going to vote for Romney instead.

When you combine that with the fact that Romney is apparently holding his own in the early vote, if I were a Dem I’d be very concerned.

while I can appreciate the author for NOT voting for Obama, I would caution everyone that the author’s vote might not be be for the right reasons FOR Romney; that the author may be expecting that Romney, as president alone or even with Congress can, directly benefit “blacks and hispanics” in ways the author might hope, and

the biggest problem as regards that hope, and for us, is convincing “the flock” of formerly Liberal supporting blacks and hispanics that it - low minority economic standing - was not so much the fault any particular Liberal candidate or office holder - they did not fail - it is their Liberal policies and Liberal thinking that failed, and the biggest part of that failure is its convincing voters that the government is their Messiah and all that is needed is to give that Messiah more power and more of their Liberty

the biggest failure in all of that is the failure to understand that every ounce of government constitutes a taking, of one sort, of one dimension or another and the more people expect of it the more it will take, including more of your Liberty

if the author does not understand that, then his vote for a GOP president may be short-lived

because the best that the GOP collectively can do for the economy - and jobs for anyone - is not in adjusting and improving on what the government CAN DO, but in getting the government out of doing many of the things it is doing

Re: “Black and Hispanic Christians Will Put Romney Ahead!”

That’ll be the day.

The Wall Street Journal editorial page has been pumping this same dry well for the last 20 years.

Namely, that Black and Hispanic Christians would be “natural Conservatives” if only the Republican Party would support special privileges like Affirmative Action quotas and “Open Borders” immigration.

Bunk...

Blacks will vote 90% for the Demo Party in 2012.

Non-Cuban Hispanics will vote 70% for the Demo Party in 2012.
