The Democrat party has staked its position on abortion, firmly planting its feed in blood-soaked soil. Common ground is not, nor has ever really been, a genuine goal of the party. It proudly celebrates its embrace of an industry that kills over a million innocent unborn children every year and wounds countless women and men in the violent process. Liberal activists will parade around as gigantic vaginas, publicly recite explicit lines to pro-statutory rape The Vagina Monologues, wear t-shirts proclaiming I Had An Abortion, support partial-birth abortion, and stand with the abortion chain that refuses to report rape. But theyre not the extremists?
Indiana Senatorial candidate Richard Mourdock is yet another prolife politician whose words have been distorted so that the pro-Obama, pro-abortion, pro-liberal feminism mainstream media can mercilessly attack him for somehow attacking women. Anyone with half a brain could understand his comments to mean God intended life to happen, not rape. But mainstream media doesnt rely upon intellect, but raw, uninformed emotion. They keep the issue in the abstract, careful not to humanize it to show why a prolife conviction would embrace even a child conceived in such circumstances. Abortion advocates know revealing the whole truth would have a way of speaking to ones heart.
Rape. Its one of the most horrific things anyone can do to another human being. War ravaged nations see unimaginable acts of such cruelty all the time. In our own country, there is a cultural war that trivializes the inhumanity of it. Our pornography industry creates rape fantasies, comedians make rape jokes, and abortion moguls like Cecile Richards’ profit from the silencing of actual cases of such violence.
Less than 1% of abortions are a result of rape, incest or protecting the physical health of the mother. Yet liberal media attacks on Richard Mourdock, Todd Akin, Paul Ryan, Ann Marie Buerkle, Star Parker, Michele Bachmann, Dr. Alveda King, Charmaine Yoest, and other publicly prolife leaders have one goal: to justify 100% of abortions. In that process, the media and its abortion allies obscure what were actually talking abouthuman life.
I am the 1%. And there are many others out there who offer a similar story of being born as a result of rape. We are the tangible examples that Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion activists love to hate. We present another side of the storynot one promoting legislative agendas, but one that personalizes this issue so recklessly and carelessly handled by mainstream media. There are real lives at stake, and abortion only allows us to pretend that those lives dont exist.
"UNWANTED" -- TheRadianceFoundation.org - YouTube Video
Over the years, many women have shared their personal stories of rape with me through events featuring The Radiance Foundation. And in each emotional exchange (where both of us end up crying) they tell me why they didnt abort their child or for those who had, how my song Meant to Be has brought them healing for the first time. My birth mothers courage to endure nine months of a traumatic pregnancy has had reverberations she never could have known. Adopted into a loving multi-racial family of 15 and now an adoptive father myself, I cannot ever express my gratitude to a woman who helped to defy the myth of the unwanted. And now The Radiance Foundation, founded by my wife Bethany and I, celebrates the beautiful intrinsic and irreplaceable value of every human life. My birth mothers singular choice of life for me has, literally, affected millions.
Politicians trot out people to advance their causes all of the time. Its way past time for prolife politicians to realize this is not a war that will be won solely on words, but from the real-life stories that come from those whose lives have been affected by rape. In addition to my own story, there are many more of us out there, victims and would-be victims of such a senseless act of cruelty that can be redeemed. Our lives are reflective of how our humanity is extremely compassionate when we dont compound the horror of rape with the violence of abortion.
Put a human face on it
you just might reach someones heart.
My birth mom could never have known how her singular decision would impact, literally, millions. Despite the horror of being raped, she courageously chose to give me life. There will never be enough words to thank her, but I'm grateful that she gave me an opportunity to show the beauty of Possibility.
I have a family member conceived in rape.
Here is a harsh reality. We all have ancestors who were inpregnated by a rape. It is ironic that every single human being on the planet owes his very existence to an abomination.
I haven’t really thought about it but its probably true. Mankind has endured some pretty brutal periods.
***Put a human face on it you just might reach someones heart.***
You, Ryan Bomberger reached my heart....and such a beautiful face.
Looks like his mom was raped by someone outsidw her DNAgrouping
In any event
I agree with the young man
A child cannot be held responsible for the circumstances of its conception. A woman ought to think twice (or more) about aborting a baby she is carrying because of how repulsive its conception was to her. Indeed, woman cannot undo a traumatic rape by an abortion.
Now, recall that one of the legal points upon which Roe was decided was privacy. But the baby has rights as well as a unique human being. And just because nobody else may know of the pregnancy, that doesn’t negate the humanity of the baby she is carrying.
I hope the prolife candidates that he mentioned, and others, can post his story on their websites.
A logical thought process reveals two things.
1) An abortion will not change the fact the Rape occurred, and will not remove the memory of the rape. Even if one does not want to be “reminded” of the rape because of the child, I don’t think ANYONE would blame the mother for putting the child up for adoption.
2) The LIFE inside the mother is INNOCENT...brought into existence by no act of its own. This is just common sense. The sad thing is, these very same people arguing for abortion, probably get more passionate about a puppy or kitten who is thrown out of a car window....through no fault of its own.
My wife was conceived in a rape. She’s a wonderful wife, mother and woman of God, and I thank her biological mother, wherever she, who was 14 at the time, for not aborting her.
Beautiful song, too.
Don’t abort the baby.... abort the raper..
Rape is the only crime where the perpetrator gets full protection and rights under the law, while the innocent bystander is given no rights whatsoever, and gets summarily executed.
I agree.

The act is horrific. Does that make the child wrong?
Awesome testimony.
