Jennifer Griffin just reported that every request for permission/authorization to aid those in the consulate was denied. These requests were not just made by those in the annex, but several units that had mobilized waiting for the go.
All requests to offer support was met with “STAND DOWN”

Who gave the final order to stand down? Once we start getting names instead of vague, unnamed departments, it will then become clear.
So they WERE the monkey wrench in the equation. They weren’t supposed to be there. They were supposed to let Stevens get kidnapped and/or killed.
Do we know how soon those SEALs showed up, and where Stevens was when they showed up? Was Stevens supposed to be moved out of the safe room to someplace where he wouldn’t die of smoke inhalation, but the plans got messed up when the terrorists had to deal with 2 rogue SEALs who gave them trouble?

This reminds me of the 2nd Rambo movie, when Rambo has radioed that he has found the American POWs. A helicopter is hovering over them in order to bring them on-board.
The helicopter pilot radios back to the CIA guy and tells him he’s ready to rescue Rambo and the POWs. At the last second, the CIA guy tells the pilot to abort the mission, and the helo flies off, leaving Rambo and the POWs stranded on the ground, with the Vietnamese army closing in on them.
Gotta wonder if he was waiting for the dominoes to all get in place before dropping this nuggett.

I recall some on the left wanted to see Cheney frog marched out of office in cuffs for something he didn’t do. (Valerie Plame revelation). How fitting to see uncle obie in cuffs as well as his gal pal val jarret ceremoniously assisted leaving the WH before 1/20/13. Mmmmmm, mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmm. Never happen though.

Wow, and this reminds me of the people who were commenting at the Conservativetreehouse site, saying that the SEALs had gone rogue by going there. Makes me think that maybe the people who were commenting may have had inside knowledge...
But how does all this fit in with the stories about a reinforcement team being called in? Is that story based on the assumption that the 2 SEALs must have been authorized to come since they did come? Or was the reinforcement team the Libyan militia that eventually came? Was the story about reinforcements being called in made up to try to cover that these guys were told not to come?
Lotta questions, and people need to be demanding answers.
Since those two SEALs were civilians, who did they request permission from, and who told them to stand down?
No arrests, I am sad to say. I do, however, believe that there are still Americans in the CIA/Defense that will continue to leak the truth out. And you are right, Petraeus probably did not care for the “intelligence failure” tact taken by the Obama campaign, er, Administration. Gotta run, have a good day.
