I am delighted to report that the economic outlook is much better in one particular area: The "Fake 'Gaffe' Manufacturing Index", or the FMGI.
The oft-overlooked FGMI covers the 'news and opinion' segment of the economy, and measures the number of false, misleading, or trumped-up 'gaffes' that any given Republican is noted to have made.
The most recent ginned-up 'gaffe' is sourced from Mitt Romney's debate quote, where he speaks of using "whole binders full of women" to help in locating prospects for positions in his years as Massachusettes Governor, was immediately mined and harvested by many in the Pravda Press, including this piece by CNN. The ommisson of the word 'resumes' in that line was sufficient to allow this 'gaffe' to be manufactured wholesale.
Of course, this is not the only contribution to the FGMI index: There were many additional tons of newsprint and billions of internet packets dedicated to such fake 'gaffes' as:
- Romney allegedly insulting the British on Olympic security concerns,
- Romney allegedly insulting nearly half the American population by correctly observing that 47 percent of the population is dependent on government, and thusly has a motivation to vote for Big Government Obama.
- When speaking about firing the current Administration, the Fake 'Gaffe' Manufacturing sector was able to twist this into the concept that Romney likes firing all people.
Fake 'Gaffe' Manufacturing experts are unanimous in expecting that the FGMI numbers will continue to rise for the foreseeable future. The experts cite a highly partisan press and media culture in America, overwhelmingly dominated by liberals and those who favor Democrats. The trend is likely to continue until November 7th, at which time it is expected that the FMGI index will dive abruptly.
Please stay aware of this important manufacturing index in the months ahead, with the knowledge that as the FGMI numbers rise, that the prospects of Mr. Romney defeating President Obama mirror that rise.

Does anyone else remember that the economy reached it’s peak and started to DROP, the day that Obama clinched the nomination of the Democratic Party. I would say that the market is smelling a scent of victory, and businesses are ready to go back and do business in the marketplace.

Oh- I thought you were going to use gas prices as an inverse indicator for growth in the economy.
Who would have thought that the markets (oil futures) would know Obama was going to be such a screw up?
Conversely, does the high price of gas now mean that the markets are :pricing in a Romney victory?
Mr.Obama, please explain this new leading economic indicator to us.

The FMGI is a result of the “new tone” in Washington. :-)
Romney could get caught saying “Don’t stop.” and the press would immediately change the quote to “Don’t! Stop!”.
Sheesh.

( * Oh- I thought you were going to use gas prices as an inverse indicator for growth in the economy. * ).
But it is... Obama was right... Gas ( stinky kind, hot air ) prices IS a indicator of growth of more inflated numbers and BS in Obama's make believe economy.
See ? it's all how you word it.
To: Lazamataz
Gee Laz. Are you promoting this index for profit purposes? I just can’t imagine you would do that!

I would say that the market is smelling a scent of victory, and businesses are ready to go back and do business in the marketplace.I agree. I just hope they wait until Romney wins before making any moves since the Dems would claim any positive market movements as signs of an Obama-policy recovery.

In the liberal mindset higher gas prices is always a indicator of economic growth. ( the taxes, that is ).
