CEO emails 7,000 employees: Defeat Obama or else By Chris Isidore @CNNMoney October 9, 2012: 5:37 PM ET
David Siegel, CEO of Westgate Resorts, warned employees that they may lose their jobs if President Obama wins re-election.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Surprise. David Siegel, the resort CEO who is building the biggest private home in the country, really, really doesn't like President Obama.
And while Siegel hasn't sent any money to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, he has gone a step farther to support him.
On Monday he sent an e-mail to all 7,000 employees of privately-held Westgate Resorts, many of them in the battleground state of Florida, warning them their jobs are at risk if the president is re-elected.
"The economy doesn't currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is another 4 years of the same Presidential administration," he said in the e-mail.
"If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company," he says in the nearly 1,400-word e-mail. "Rather than grow this company I will be forced to cut back. This means fewer jobs, less benefits and certainly less opportunity for everyone."

i.e. don’t blame me if you’re stuck on stupid.
If you ever had any doubts about how abysmally stupid liberals really are, read the comments at the end of the article.
He’s a racist.
Caterpillar anyone?
hehe.
He could have been a bit more discreet about it while still inviting them to pay attention to candidates’ plans... and it’s not JUST Mitt and Barack, Congress will have a role too....
He kinda told his employees like it is and there’s not a thing wrong with that.
Thanks - that was icepick in the eye-socket stupid! ;-)
“resort CEO who is building the biggest private home in the country”
Class warfare, anyone?
commie news network
Now, THAT will focus minds. CEOs across the land need to do exactly the same thing!!!!
Not only will that garner the attention of the employees, but their families, too.
Exactly! If more people understood the basics of running a business, more people would be agreeing with him than wishing an audit on him.
I was just about to post the same thing and see you have already done so.
These are the walking braindead we have contend with.
If Obama gets a second term, what this CEO has said is exactly true--many of them will lose their jobs.
I also believe the converse is true--if Romney is elected, business will let loose--as long as the GOP repeals Obamacare. That is the key to a reinvigorated economy.
Here in the Northern Va exurbs, Toll Brothers has a HUGE Romney sign in front of their sales office right on route 29.
Our neighborhood and town are plastered with Romney/Allen signs. We have a good ground game here, though.
The walking braindead. It’s true.
Also, reflexive pathological liars.
The CEO says “if Obama wins, I’ll have to lay a lot of you off”.
The lying braindead translate this in their wormskulls to somehow magically mean: “if you vote for Obama, I will fire you”.
Lost in translation: how the CEO knows who is employees vote for.
I attended a meeting last evening on Obamacare. One example given was a woman that owns a company with 450 employees of which all but 50 are minimum wage. She started the company after her husband died and anticipated a max of 50 employees if she succeeded. She is now 78 years old. She continues to operate the company because she feels an obligation to her employees. She certainly doesn’t want to get up and go to the office every day.
She has 400 employees earning $12/hour for 40 hours a week. This is $24,960 per year for the minimum wage earners. This portion of her payroll is about $10,000,000 annually. There is no way that she can afford to provide health insurance for her employees. As a result, the IRS is going to tag her $2000 per employee as a penalty. This equates to $1,000,000 per year. There is no way she can pay this. Its 10% of her payroll for these employees. The nature of her business will not allow her to increase her prices to cover this expense. She is going to shut down the business. Her 450 employees will be unemployed.
Now, does it matter whether she tells her employees what to expect unless Obamacare is repealed? Personally, I think that she should warn them so that they can be proactive in trying to determine their future.
The CEO of Westgate is faced with problems just as the woman is yet they may be somewhat different in nature. He knows that Obama hasn’t been good for the economy, and has given no indication that he will be if given four more years. He also knows that a prolonged sick economy is a death knell to his business. However, he isn’t sure that his employees know the consequences of four more years of Obama. He was straight forward when he warned them. He did the right thing.
