In a worst case scenario, he painted a much darker picture.
When people get at each others throat, the rich and the poor and the left and the right and so on, and you have a basic breakdown, that becomes very threatening, Dalio told CNBC in an exclusive interview on Squawk Box. For example, Hitler came to power in 1933, which was the depth of the Great Depression, because of the social tension between the factions. So I think it very much is dependent on how the people work this through together and worry about the social elements.

The other night I watched a movie called "Gabriel Over the White House" which was released in 1933. It was funded largely by William Randolph Hearst. The film advocated for an American President becoming a facist dictator to solve our country's problems.
Franklin Roosevelt was given a copy of the script and "He liked it so much that he took time during the hectic first weeks of his presidency to suggest several script rewrites that were incorporated into the film." The film is in the public domain and can be seen in its entirety on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz8sNARc6mw
From Wikipedia, "Following the election of Barack Obama, People magazine film critic Leah Rozen included Gabriel over the White House as one of "five films you should absolutely see before inauguration day."" There are those in this country who would gladly give Obama dictatorial powers.
I'm running on the platform of just dropping them all off on the outermost island of the Aleutian Island chain and inviting them to walk and swim home.
And of course setting up a line of polar bears across the finish line, just to make it interesting.
A few of them would be too many, but there appears to be more than a great many who have this desire.
I take that back, I wouldn’t feed crap to a dog.
In your reply to fireman15, you state that a number of the electorate would be willing to see dictatorial powers taken by President Obama. If a certain madness took place with the electorate to allow this power, only the electoral college might stand as a bulwark. Possibly this is why there are certain murmurs to abolish it. Just my opinion here.
I have read "Dreams From My Father" purported to be by Barack Obama. Jack Cashill, in his book "Deconstructing Obama" gives a strong argument that one William Ayres wrote much of it. Be that as it may, the implications of the thoughts of the person written within , send a chill, a cold chill, down my spine.
Up in Canada, some of us will watch with more than passing interest, in the titanic struggle being waged for the soul of the United States in November.
Thanks for the information. I will diligently follow through.
Obama’s already got the “Hitler Youth” singing his praises...

I have no doubt that that is the real reason why they want it abolished, despite the fact they claim other reasons, such as the president should be elected by 'popular' vote. The liberals always lie. And if they believed they'd be ahead by the popular vote, well, they've got that in the bag as far as brainwashing children in the liberal schools, all the way through college. Of course, they embrace illegals for more votes (through such means as bribery via 'free' health care, welfare, etc.).
Our country will implode within our lifetime and I do believe we are walking down that path now. It's quite awful to watch....and very little any of us can actually do to stop it.
I think that traditional, cautious mindset has something to do with the fact that the Germans were, if I recall correctly, statistically more likely to trust authority figures than other countries. The U.S. was in second place on that measure (don't remember if it was all countries or just western ones measured). German is our largest ethnic group.
So true! I meant if they just stayed here, as usual. (I left out all that we’d save on all the entitlement goodies- my bad) I didn’t mean to necessarily prosecute them for anything (unless they actually did something criminal). If they are unhappy & can’t fit in, we would be doing them- & ourselves, a service by re-locating them someplace where they could pursue their beliefs (or “dreams”, as it were).
If we are ever, God Willing, able to eject the vermin from these shores, I would hope that the same kind of initiative would be exercised to secure our borders (”tighter than a wedge”) at long last. That, imho, is the only real hope we have of ever preventing another terrorist attack here.
There should be only one luxury passage. For those who persist, the second trip should be on a (Is it a C130? The cargo planes used by the military? & maybe air drop them) to some more exotic locale- the Darien Gap, some jungle somewhere, Patagonia, the Kurils, Kamchatka, etc. ;-) The High Adventure Package. And if they return a third time, meh. Jus’ choot ‘em. (3 strikes, yerrr OUT!)
There was just one thing missing in the Europe of 1933 that’s different than today’s Europe— Muslims. What do they care if Europe turns to crap? Crap holes are what they ran away from.
If memory serves me correctly the Muslims at the time were aligned with Hitler. Things have changed as to infiltration in the USA.
Yeah, they were but they weren’t living in Western Europe in the numbers they are now.
Why on Gods green earth would I want to poison my beautiful, loyal dogs.

Now, they’ve taken to telling *us* to leave. (I truly thank the Lord that they aren’t within swinging distance. I just see red when I read that)
I imagine there are *plenty* of ordinary citizens who would be only too happy to assist in that endeavor- at least there are in Texas, I know.
Greasin’ the wheels. (Though I’m sure they’d still be kicking & screaming & b*tching about somethin’)
My guess is based on my in-laws taking a military flight to Europe on one of these. (One of my BILs was stationed in Germany & they went to visit them & both ILs were retired; AF & Army) There were long benches instead of seats & a big, open area. lol I really don’t care if we shoot them out of a cannon, as long as they go. Soon.
LOL Don’t look at me. I’m sure some people think I’m a MOB. Sometimes. I will give anybody anything I’ve got (except my dogs), but I’ll be d*mned if they’re going to take it from me. We are on the same page.
