This is the second Muslim arrested in France for threatening to kill the editors of Charlie Hebdo.
Via Times Live:
French police arrested a man for apparently calling on a jihadi website for the decapitation of the editor of a magazine that published cartoons mocking Mohammed, a judicial source said.
The man was detained in the western city of La Rochelle for calling on the radical website for the head of satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, which on Wednesday published cartoons of a naked Prophet.
“The essential thing is not to let him live in peace,” the man allegedly wrote.
Police have opened a preliminary probe on charges of incitement to commit murder, the source said.
Do we ever do that in this country?
Thanks NYer.
For a moment I misread the headline as French Islamist Beheaded After Calling For Beheading Of Editors Behind Mohammed Cartoons.
Then disappointment set in as I re-read it.
I think I stopped when Bill O'Bloviator told me to boycott France for something the Frogs did which I don't even remember anymore.
Vive Bloviation!

Only if those damn Catholics start squawking.
I am all for it, but the papers in this country won’t do it
H/T NYer for posting
France can turn into a police state overnight. Riot police, no due process, no right to counsel, etc.
When the State feels threatened, the famous “Liberté” goes out the window.
The second printing of Charlie Hebdo has just sold out. With Sicialist wuss François Hollande in change, I expect further demonstrations, rioting, burning, looting etc.

finally! if we bombarded them with offensive images, at some point they truly would become desensitized and give us the finger.
Unfortunately the left treats them like bratty children, who don’t yet understand the concepts of right and wrong and prefer to placate them and keep the peace through appeasement.
