DENVER – The campaign plane carrying Ann Romney, the wife of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, made an emergency landing in Denver around 2:25 Friday afternoon, the campaign reported via Twitter.
Andrea Saul, the campaign’s press secretary, tweeted: “.@AnnDRomney plane makes emergency landing in CO. All okay. Thank goodness.”
Another tweet from the campaign’s Ryan Williams described the plane as “filled with smoke.”

Today at the gym I asked a Republican I know if he still predicts that Romney will crush Obama, as he confidently told me about 3 or 4 months ago. As you know I was skeptical even then, well today he starts telling me how bad things will be for Obama if he wins, the deficit, the Tea Party, etc. Says Republicans will win BIG in 2016.
I can very clearly see the giddiness of Dems sure they are winning and the dark clouds settling over more and more Republicans as they decide that Romney is losing.
If you want a gauge of how things are, one thing to look for is if one side (which would by the R party and Romney in this case) thinks they are losing because each side has a interest in making believe they are winning.
How can you tell if they think they are losing? If they are talking a lot about how the media is biased, how the voters are being fooled, maybe even saying the voters are moochers in one case, etc. Dems were doing that between the time Ryan was announced and the DNC. Now Rs are doing it again.
