The Obama campaign is pushing back hard against the president's gaffe in his Univision interview of saying that Washington cannot be changed from within.
It was an unfortunate thing for an incumbent to say, especially when the nation is so unhappy with the way Washington operates. The federal government has gotten more dysfunctional in the era of Obama, despite his promises to unite and lead.
The fuller context of Obama's remarks, says his campaign, show that the president was really talking about the need to engage citizens outside of Washington to create the pressure needed to force recalcitrant Republicans to embrace a new way of doing things -- to compromise.
But as with Obama's "you didn't build that" gaffe, the fuller context doesn't erase the meaning. It deepens it.

Husssein has been at odds with the American voters from the start.
By “outside” he could also mean outside the US, e.g. Illegals, UN. Obama himself is about as “outside” as you can get given his background. Manchurian candidate.
He thinks we are all just stupid and do not understand him; if only we weren’t so stupid.... he will go to his grave thinking that it wasn’t that we disagreed, we just could not comprehend the complexity of his wisdom.
I think that this November, we should give him the opportunity to make some change in Chicago or that mansion in Hawaii.
Romney’s “47%” remark was a gaffe.
obama’s “can’t change Washington from within” was no gaffe. It was simply obama’s truthful admission of INCOMPETENCE, made possible by the lack of a teleprompter!!!!
Of course we do not WANT obama’s “change”, which is a poisonous concoction cooked up by the New World Order operatives, muslims, and commies that are behind their feckless puppet. And we’ve had too much of it already, especially obamacare, the laws that were hidden in the bogus “stimulus”, Dodd-Frank, the “Arab Spring”, and the executive orders that established the “Dream Act” and other deleterious acts.
obama FAIL!!!! obama DESTROY!!!! Get rid of him, and as many other Dims as we can. REPEAL his entire legislative program, annul his executive orders, and deport the “Dreamers”!!!!
Obama DID change Washington, by co-opting it to institute his nefarious plans for the country. The 2010 mid-terms didn’t even stop him from making changes.
He’s being apologetic for the fact that he didn’t succeed in completely socializing the country.

It’s too bad he can’t “slip” again and state what he means by “changing Washington”. He’s already transferred much power from the legislative to the executive branch in order to implement further “change” in his second term.
That “change” needs to be defined. And if 0bama doesn’t define it, his opponents need to.
He means COMMUNISM.
So what is he gonna do? Open some re-education camps?
Who would have thought it would be univision to show the world that Obama was a zero.
Make sense, they are not bought off like the MSM.

Incredibly stupid, which also highlights how easily Obie melts down when challenged. R & R will hang him with this one for 37 more days.
It really is a replay of "you didn't build that", isn't it? I mean, there's the damning misstatement from the Preezy, followed by the predictable "out of context" comeback whines, then noting from the context that the first take is well-justified.
And in both cases, the context is really irrelevant anyway, as the gaffe resonates well with a significant part of the public, as it accurately describes what they believe is Obama's true meaning anyway.
This article explains why OWS went nowhere, too. It was a grassroots movement without any real direction. Obama should have directed it and shaped it to give him additional power. But because he couldn’t control it, he let it fall apart.
Obama apparently forgot to tell us we were the ones who had to do the changin....and he also forgot to tell us what changin’ we had to do....except for checkin’ our tires and eatin’ our peas.
If Washington can only be changed from outside, I’ll bet there are a few million “bitter clingers” who would take up that challenge.
