Democrats Tweet F-Bombs to Cardinal Dolan After Pro-Life Prayer
Life News ^ | 09 .07.12 | Steven Ertelt

Democrats were not too happy that Timothy Cardinal Dolan admonished them about respecting human life and religious liberty during his closing benediction at the Democratic National Convention.

On Twitter, hundreds of liberals vented their frustration with the president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Below are a handful of the samples of F-bombs liberals dropped on the Catholic cardinal during and after his benediction.

“Grant us the courage to defend life…waiting to be born, welcomed & protected,” he said, excoriating Democrats to support religious liberty as well in light of the controversial Obama HHS mandate that Catholics and pro-life advocates oppose. Dolan prays for “life, without which no other rights are secured.”

“God grants us the right to life so we can choose liberty and happiness,” he said, adding that unborn children should “be welcomed and protected.” He referred to the right to life, without which no other right has meaning, saying, “We praise You for the gift of life, grant us the courage to defend it.”

“Renew in all our people a profound respect for religious liberty, the first, most cherished freedom,” he said.

The full text and video of the prayer appears here.

Cardinal Dolan’s prayer was the best “speech” at that cracked convention!!!!

So those who are dissing him on Twitter are showing their poor taste, dumbness, and meanness several times over!!!!

I hope that obama gets a NEGATIVE bounce from the DNC! #epicfail

Romans 1:28 describes them: “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient...”

Honestly, were I pro-abort, I would still hope to have the good grace just to leave the arena before the Cardinal came to make his benediction. They knew full well the tenor of what he’d be saying.

It would be interesting to see them try to cattle-car us all.

I believe that the time of the gentiles is coming to an
end, when God is publicly rejected like this.

May He have mercy on the remnant of Christians

An absolutely brilliant prayer. It should appeal to every Christian or Jew. And it is filled with references to our Constitutional freedoms.

I take back everything I said about the invitations to the Al Smith Dinner. Now, having seen this prayer at the DNC, I wonder if Obama will back out of that dinner rather than risk another such prayer?

I miss the days when the Democrats would at least pay lip service to the decency and traditional values and faith of the American people, even if they never meant it.

The prayer WAS brilliant. Not only does he pray for the unborn, he deals with the gay and same-sex marriage issue when he refers to the pursuit of happiness. He asks for grace that Americans would choose “wisely” this fall....and then ends it with numerous refernces to God - One nation under God, in God we Trust, God bless America.

God bless this man.

LOL, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Cardinal Dolan.

He suckered punched them.

First they said, no he couldn’t give the benediction.

Then, after all the bad publicity, they caved.

And the coup de grace, his prayer shames them and they attack him revealing the utter void of their hearts.

Oh, thank you Lord God Almighty for this man!

They couldn't go after God directly so they went after His representative.

I'd hate to be in their shoes when the Good Lord vents His Holy Spleen.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert may have taught these pathetic losers how to do this...

I don't believe Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert would send the Cardinal letters with these words.

Dolan mentioned God and the innocent unborn in the same speech: a lethal combination for the heathen liberals. Here's what unhinged the pro-aborts and sent them into paroxysms of apoplectic rage:

With a ‘firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence,’ let us close this convention by praying for this land that we so cherish and love.

Let us pray.

Almighty God, father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, revealed to us so powerfully in Your Son, Jesus Christ, we thank You for showering Your blessings upon this our beloved nation. Bless all here present, and all across this great land, who work hard for the day when a greater portion of Your justice, and a more ample measure of Your care for the poor and suffering, may prevail in these United States. Help us to see that a society’s greatness is found above all in the respect it shows for the weakest and neediest among us.

We beseech You, almighty God to shed Your grace on this noble experiment in ordered liberty, which began with the confident assertion of inalienable rights bestowed upon us by You: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Thus do we praise You for the gift of life. Grant us the courage to defend it, life, without which no other rights are secure. We ask Your benediction on those waiting to be born, that they may be welcomed and protected. Strengthen our sick and our elders waiting to see Your holy face at life’s end, that they may be accompanied by true compassion and cherished with the dignity due those who are infirm and fragile. . . .

This is in front of a lot of young people, probably lots of teenagers, at Northwestern University.

And have you ever seen the sacrilege and blasphemy of Stephen Colbert's Christmas Special, where he mocks the Trinity and the Virgin and the Holy Family?

The two of them are mockers, defilers and are turning our youth into a bunch of helpless stoners and slackers who can't think, but can snark with the best.

A good conservatives knows their enemies. I know that once in a while these "cool" guys at the popular table in the cafeteria throw a bone towards the right half of the room--but ultimately all these two do is serve Satan.
