Mayor Rahm Emanuel will be spending a lot less time at the Democratic National Convention than hed originally planned.
Originally, the mayor had planned to be in Charlotte from Tuesday through Friday morning.
Now, his Communications Director Sarah Hamilton tells Newsradio that Emanuel has changed his plans.
Hamilton insisted the mayors shortened trip to the convention doesnt have anything to do with a possible teachers strike.
She said Emanuels abbreviated trip likewise doesnt have anything to do with the citys higher murder rate this year.

Rahm is a piece of work to be certain.

wow.
Can you imagine if a “Republican city” had 82 shootings in 10 days? I think it might have become national news.
“Can you imagine if a Republican city had 82 shootings in 10 days? I think it might have become national news.”
Look at the good side of the situation. Chicago is “self-cleaning.” Each day their trash goes out and “off”s” some of their own number. Couple that with “pro choice,” and some day Chicago will be a nice place to visit.
Hell’s bells, the ethical Democrats in Chicago are still blaming the city’s last Republican mayor, who left office in 1931, for all of the crime associated with Prohibition.
The murder rates from that era look like serenity and calm compared to today.
The inconvenient fact that organized crime continued to prosper and thrive under the Chicago Democrats is a truth that must always be ignored.
I think you’re wrong. With the massive tsunami of EBT/TANF/Section 8/Medicaid/etc, all the economic incentives are in favor of reproduction.
Did they have the bugs before the D&C Convention came to town?
The Chicago murder rate is even HIGHER????

Well of course it doesn’t, duh. He’d have to care in order for those issues to matter.
Probably has a party or a fundraiser to attend.
I knew that long before he impersonated a Chicagoan to become Mayor. Small wonder that he’s as inept at that as Obama, impersonating an NBC, is at being POTUS.
ROFL......not sure, but I think maybe they all FLEW in First Class this week and more on the way.
One less foul-mouthed flaming ‘english-cigarette’ won’t even be noticed.
So the OBAMA campaign wants Rahm out of town before Thursday? How interesting.....

Well it should dammit! That's his responsibility, not preaching to the choir in Carolina.
The airlines need to get special EPA permission to use DDT on the passenger seating and overheads between flights. (and don't forget that luggage compartment)

Sorry I can’t add much because I can’t stand looking at that lib ballet dancing weasel who’d like nothing better than take the firearms from every law abiding American. Yet he gets away as an American political figure after joining non-USA armed forces when we are at war, and holding multiple citizenships. Just how does that work?
Another great read from John Kass.

Rahmfather, please come home. And get the good chips. - September 5, 2012 - In what someday may be considered a stroke of absolute genius, President Barack Obama has decided to send Mayor Rahm Emanuel back home to watch TV in Chicago.
