Rush Limbaugh: I'm 'literally going insane' By: Kevin Robillard August 29, 2012 03:52 PM EDT
Rush Limbaugh slammed Karl Rove on Wednesday and said he was literally going insane over GOP strategists advice that the party not attack President Barack Obama during their convention.
Do you want to talk about the overall tone of the convention? Limbaugh facetiously asked his radio show audience. Do you want me to say, My gosh, what a bunch of wimps. Dont even have the guts to mention Obamas name. Christie didnt have the guts to mention his name? Do you want me to tell you how this bunch seems to be afraid to be critical of a party thats destroying the country? Or do you agree with the party, No, we dont need to mention that because everybody already knows it and were trying to attract swing voters, and they dont want to hear that stuff?
The conservative talker signaled out Karl Rove, the Bush administration political guru who leads several outside spending groups, and Ed Rollins, who managed Rep. Michele Bachmanns failed GOP primary bid this year, for criticism.
Rollins said on Fox News that ignoring Obamas record was the perfect way to go since most voters are already familiar with it. Rove agreed with Democratic strategist Joe Trippi when he made a similar statement.
Where was the beef? Limbaugh implored. Where was the red meat? There wasnt any. Everybody doesnt know about Obamas terrible record! Im gonna tell you something. Mr. Rollins, if everybody knew Obamas record, hed be down 20 points.

Shut up Karl.
I usually agree with Rush...but one thing about Karl Rove, he knows how to win elections.
“but one thing about Karl Rove, he knows how to win elections”, Like 2006?

Citizen,
This post displays thoughts and verbiage most unhelpful to Party dogma. Further it mentions nonpersons according to current wisdom. Please refrain from issuing such communications until such time as our representatives are able to mock you and scour the offending post from the internet.
Thank You.
Your betters in the GOP.
I guess that the nation has the choice between Obama and Obama Light.
Ca, ca, can, can’t we all get along?
My one technical gripe about Rush is that he constantly misuses “literally.”
No...like every campaign he ever chaired...
Hard to blame 06 on one guy.
Karl Rove doesn't know how to defend against the leftwing attack machine. That's why Bush remained silent about all the leftist attacks during his administration, thus allowing the left to control the narrative, and directly leading to the inability of the Republicans to beat Obama in 2008.
Karl Rove knows how to entrench the power of the RINOs. That's his allegiance, that's all he's good for, and he is absolutely the wrong guy to follow at this point in our country's history.
I loved yesterday’s speeches, and Christie hit the nail on the head for what should be important to us.
Perhaps Karl wants to win but thinks it best not to win by too much? /s

The media does not realize there’s a big difference between “independents” and “moderates”.
Many independents are republican voters but refuse to join the party because it’s not conservative enough for them and/or too much like the democratic party.
“Moderate” is the correct term to describe those who are turned off by a party that’s too critical. Personally, anybody with that trait is likely to vote for the most liberal candidate of the two anyways.
While many of the moderates may be registered independents (I think that number is much smaller than the media would have us believe) not all independents are moderates.
In this day and age I’d be willing to bet the most independents are conservatives who are sick of the GOPe.
Karl Rove knows how to entrench the power of the RINOs. That’s his allegiance, that’s all he’s good for, and he is absolutely the wrong guy to follow at this point in our country’s history.
______________
I didn’t say he would be my head of policy....But the guy wins. He was 2-0 with Bush...and won something like 29 state and federal elections with Bush and others. In short, he wins.
I think what Rove is saying is this: use the campaign to highlight the strengths of the ticket and to personalize Romney to the voters. There will be plenty of time to destroy Obama’s record. In fact, the Cross Roads ads that have run in Virginia have been absolutely brutal with respect to Obama’s record.
Even with all the speakers pussy-footing around Obama, the convention is still being derided as “angry and strident” by the MSM.
Yeah, especially for a guy who says he lives in “literalville”.
To what ends? His candidate spent the last three years in office hunkered down in the Whitehouse as the media destroyed him.
LOL, not defending agains the leftwing attack machine is the PURPOSE of the RINOs! Rove know EXACTLY how to do what he does!
